NOTICE is hereby given that THE GOODYEAR SHOE MACHINERY COMPANY, of Boston, Massachusetts, and Hartford, Connecticut, United States of America, have applied to register, under "The Patents, Designs, and Trade-marks Act, 1889," the trade-mark of which the following is a representation:

The applicants claim, as the essential particulars of this trade-mark, the device of the globe as represented, and the word "Goodyear," and they disclaim any right to the exclusive use of the added words.

Nature of the Articles to which it is intended such Trade-mark shall apply.
Machine-sewed boots and shoes.

Class of Goods in connection with which the Applicants desire the Trade-mark to be registered.
Class No. 38.

Any person may, within two months of the date of this Gazette, give notice, in duplicate, at this office, of opposition to the registration of the trade-mark. A fee of £1 is payable with such notice.

The applicant claims to have used this trade-mark in respect of the under-mentioned article since before the 30th May, 1879. He also claims to use the mark in any colour or combination of colours.
