of the said railway shall be as defined and set forth in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
COMMENCING at a point in Subdivision 2, Otairi No. 3 Block, in Block III., Ongo Survey District, which point is also the point of termination of a portion of the said railway, as described in a Proclamation dated the 3rd January, 1891, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the 15th January, 1891; proceeding thence generally in a north-easterly direction for a distance of about 7 miles 50 chains; passing in, into, through, or over the following lands, namely: the said Subdivision 2, Otairi No. 3 Block, Poukiore No. 1 Block, Crown land, Sections 1 and 2, Pawerawera Block, Sections 1, 2, and 3, Ohingaiti Block, in Block XVI., Tiriraukawa Survey District; said Section 3, Ohingaiti Block, Ohako Block, Pouwhakarua No. 2 Block, and Pouwhakarua No. 1 Block, in Block XIII., Hautapu Survey District; and terminating at a point in the said Pouwhakarua No. 1 Block distant about 20 chains in a north north-easterly direction from the south-west corner thereof; including all adjoining and intervening places, roads, tracks, reserves, streams, and watercourses; all in the Provincial District of Wellington; in the manner delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 16841, a copy of which is deposited in the office of the Registrar of the Supreme Court at Wellington.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred by the one hundred and sixty-second section of "The Land Act, 1885," and of all other powers and authorities enabling me in this behalf, I, James Prendergast, the Administrator of the Government of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the blocks of land described in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same are hereby set apart and declared open for special settlement.
SCHEDULE.
No. 1. All that area in the Wellington Land District, situated in Blocks XIII. and XIV., Ruahine Survey District, and Blocks I. and II., Umutoi Survey District. Bounded towards the north-east by the Pourangaki River and Crown lands; towards the south by Crown lands; and towards the west by Crown lands: and excepting reserves for roads, education, and other purposes; containing a net area for selection of 11,000 acres.
No. 2. All that area in the Wellington Land District, situated in Blocks XII. and XVI., Hautapu Survey District, and Block IV., Apiti Survey District. Bounded towards the north-east generally by the Kawhatau River and a Native reserve (Otamakapua No. 2B); towards the east by Crown lands; towards the south by Crown land; and towards the west generally by the Mangaora Stream, by Sections Nos. 19, 18, 17, 16, 15, 14, 13, 12, 11, 9, 10, and 1, Block IV., Apiti Survey District, and by Crown land: and excepting reserves for roads, education, and other purposes; containing a net area for selection of 10,000 acres.
No. 3. All that area in the Wellington Land District, situated in Blocks XII. and XVI., Hautapu Survey District, Block IV., Apiti Survey District, Blocks IX. and XIII., Ruahine Survey District, and Block I., Umutoi Survey District. Bounded towards the north generally by a Native reserve (Otamakapua No. 2B) and by the Kawhatau and Pourangaki Rivers; towards the east by Crown lands; towards the south by Crown lands; and towards the west by Crown lands: and excepting reserves for roads, education, and other purposes; containing a net area for selection of 10,000 acres.
No. 4. All that area in the Wellington Land District bounded towards the north-east by the boundary-lines between the Hawke's Bay and Wellington Provincial Districts; towards the east by lands disposed of; towards the south by lands disposed of and a proposed township reserve; again towards the east by that reserve and lands disposed of; towards the south-west by a right line bearing 120° true meridian from a point on the driving-track at the summit of Puketoi Range about 86 chains south-west of Flax Trig. Station; towards the north-west by the track before mentioned to Summit Trig. Station; again towards the north-east by a line bearing 120° true meridian from that trig. station; and again towards the north-west by lines half a mile distant from and parallel to the summit of Puketoi Range: and excepting reserves for roads, education, and other purposes; containing a net area for selection of 49,520 acres.
No. 5. All that area in the Hawke's Bay Land District, in Norsewood Survey District, bounded towards the south-east by Sections Nos. 33, 24, 23, 22, 21, 20, 36, and 18 of Block XIII. of said district; towards the south-west by Tamaki Block, about 120 chains; towards the north-west by Crown lands, about 200 chains; and towards the north-east by a line running in a north-westerly direction from the western corner of Section No. 32, Block XIII., Norsewood Survey District: excepting reserves for roads, education, and other purposes; containing a net area for selection of 2,800 acres.
No. 6. All that area in the Wellington Land District, situated in Puketoi Survey District, bounded towards the south generally by lands disposed of; towards the north-west by a right line bearing 209° true meridian from a point bearing 300° true meridian from Stony Hill Trig. Station, and distant 992 chains from it; towards the north-east by that line bearing 300°, about 344 chains, to a track; and towards the south-east by that track to Section No. 68, near Deep Creek: and excepting reserves for roads, education, and other purposes; containing a net area for selection of 6,000 acres.
No. 7. All that area in the Taranaki Land District, situated in Block XIV., Upper Waitara Survey District, and Blocks II. and VI., Ngatimaru Survey District. Bounded towards the north by a public road and Crown land; towards the east by a public road; towards the south and south-east by the Pohokura Block and Crown land; and towards the west by a public road, the Waitara River, and the Ngakorako Native Reserve: and excepting reserves for roads, education, and other purposes; containing a net area for selection of 6,400 acres.
No. 8. All that area in the Taranaki Land District, situated in Blocks V., VI., and IX., Ngatimaru Survey District. Bounded towards the north by Crown lands; towards the east and south-east by the Pohokura Block and Crown lands; and towards the west by Crown lands: and excepting reserves for roads, education, and other purposes; containing a net area for selection of 4,000 acres.
Given under the hand of His Excellency Sir James Prendergast, Knight, Chief Justice, the Administrator of the Government of Her Majesty's Colony of New Zealand; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-sixth day of April, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and ninety-two.
