THE following is the result of a poll for a loan of £2,500 for Pori Road:—
Number of ratepayers on roll, 9; number of votes, 9; number of ratepayers who voted in favour of loan, 7; number of votes for, 7; number of ratepayers who voted against, nil; number of votes against, nil.
A majority of ratepayers having voted in favour of the loan, and a majority of votes being given for same, I hereby declare the proposal carried.

THE following notice, received from His Worship the Mayor of Devonport, is published in accordance with “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1886.”

RESULT OF POLL.
I, EWEN WILLIAM ALISON, Mayor of the Borough of Devonport, in the Province of Auckland, Colony of New Zealand, do solemnly and sincerely declare that all proceedings required by “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1886,” to be taken in or towards obtaining the sanction of the burgesses of the said Borough of Devonport to a proposal to borrow £15,000 by way of special loan towards the construction of waterworks and plant for the Borough of Devonport have been duly taken, and that the resolution in favour of the proposal has been duly carried; the result of a poll taken on the 7th day of April, 1892, being as follows:—
Number of burgesses on the roll, 430; number of votes on the roll, 555; votes for the proposal, 314; votes against the proposal, 38; number of voters for the proposal, 232; number of voters against the proposal, 32; informal vote, 1.
A majority in number of the burgesses, exercising more than one-half of the total number of votes, having voted in favour of the proposal, I declare the proposal and resolution to be duly carried. And I make this solemn declaration conscientiously believing the same to be true, and by virtue of the provisions of an Act of the General Assembly of New Zealand intituled “The Justices of the Peace Act, 1882.”

THE following special order, made by the Waipawa County Council, is published for general information.

SPECIAL ORDER.
RESOLVED, That it be a special order of this Council that, for the purpose of providing for the interest and sinking fund upon the loan of £6,000, raised by the Waipawa County Council, under “The Government Loans to Local Bodies Act, 1886,” and its amendments, a special annual-recurring rate of 1½d. in the pound upon all rateable property in the Mangatoro Special Rating District, consisting of Blocks VIII., XII., XVI., Tahoraite Survey District, and Blocks V., IX., X., XIII., and XIV., Mangatoro Survey District, be made and levied; and the said rate is hereby accordingly made and levied for and during the whole period required by the aforesaid Act for the continuance of such loan; and that such special rate be levied annually from time to time, and be payable annually on every first day of July in every year during the continuance of the aforesaid loan; and that this order take effect on and from the 5th day of April, 1892.
I hereby certify that the above special order was duly made by the Waipawa County Council, in conformity with the provisions of “The Counties Act, 1886,” and “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1886.”

Revocation of Appointment of Bonding Warehouse.
CUSTOMS.—In exercise of the authority in me for this purpose vested, I, the Commissioner of Trade and Customs, do, by this order under my hand, revoke and annul the appointment of the under-mentioned warehouse for the reception and security of goods entered to be warehoused without payment of duty upon the first entry thereof, namely:—
