N pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the third section of "The Land Act
Amendment Act, 1887" (hereinafter termed "the said Act"), I, James Prendergast, the Administrator of the Govern-
ment of the Colony of New Zealand, having received the report of the Surveyor-General in this behalf, as in the said
section is provided, do hereby declare that the rural lands enumerated in the Schedule hereto shall be open for sale
or selection, after the lapse of a period of not less than forty-five days from the date of the first public notification hereof
in the New Zealand Gazette, in the manner and upon the conditions mentioned in the said Act, and at the price per acre
stated in the said Schedule.

Vesting Reserves in the Borough of Ross.

HEREAS by section seventeen of "The Land Act,
1885," it is provided that the reserves to be made
for any borough or town district under such section shall be
made only in cases where no such reserves for the purpose
of sections three, five, and six of "The Plans of Towns
Regulation Act, 1875," exist therein, or, if existing, do not
equal or exceed the amount of reserves authorised to be
made under such last-mentioned Act:
And whereas the existing reserves for the Borough of Ross
do not equal the amount of reserves authorised to be made
under "The Plans of Towns Regulation Act, 1875," and it
appears expedient to make the reserves hereinafter men-
tioned:
Now, therefore, I, James Prendergast, the Administrator
of the Government of the Colony of New Zealand, in pur-
suance and exercise of the powers conferred upon me by the
seventeenth section of "The Land Act, 1885," and of all
other powers enabling me in this behalf, do hereby declare
that the land enumerated in the first column of the Schedule
hereto shall be and the same is hereby reserved, for the pur-
pose stated opposite the description of such land in the
second column hereto, for the benefit of the Borough of Ross,
as constituted under the provisions of "The Municipal Cor-
porations Act, 1876," on the first day of January, one thou-
sand eight hundred and seventy-eight.
