A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS, in accordance with the provisions of “The Railways Authorisation and Management Act, 1891,” the Administrator of the Government has determined the limit of the extension of the Whangarei-Kamo Railway from the present terminus of the said railway, at Kamo, to a point in the Parish of Hikurangi, which said point is also mentioned in the Schedule hereto:
Now, therefore, I, James Prendergast, the Administrator of the Government of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred by “The Railways Authorisation and Management Act, 1891,” and by sections one hundred and twenty-nine and one hundred and thirty of “The Public Works Act, 1882,” and in exercise of every other power and authority in any-wise enabling me in that behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the middle line of the extension of the said railway shall be that defined and set forth in the said Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
A LINE commencing at a point in Section No. 51, Parish of Whangarei, distant about 3 chains in an easterly direction from the junction of the new Ruatangata Road and the Bay of Islands Road, which point is also the point of commencement described in a Proclamation defining the middle line of a portion of the Whangarei-Kamo Railway, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 46, of 1879; proceeding thence generally in a northerly direction for a distance of about 9 miles, passing in, into, through, or over the following lands, viz.: The said Section No. 51, Kamo Block, Onoke Block, Puriritahi Block, Parakiore No. 2 (Native reserve) Block, Parakiore Block, Te Tupua Block, Maungarei Block; Sections Nos. 22, 113, 34, 36, and 35, Parish of Whangarei; Section No. 60 (Education reserve), Parish of Hikurangi; Sections Nos. 31 and 30, Parish of Whangarei; Sections Nos. 57, 57A, 1, 2, 4; Crown lands Sections Nos. 43, 45, 44, south portion 42, north-west portion 42, south-east portion 41, north middle portion 41, north-east portion 41, south-west portion 40, south-east portion 40, and north portion 40, south-west portion of 39, south-east portion of 38, north-west portion of 38, Parish of Hikurangi; and terminating at a point in the said north-west portion Section No. 38 distant about 1400 links in a south-westerly direction from the north-east corner thereof; including all adjoining and intervening places, roads, tracks, rivers, streams, and watercourses: all in Blocks VIII. and V., Purua Survey District, and Block XVI., Hukerenui Survey District, in the Provincial District of Auckland; in the manner delineated on a plan marked P.W.D. 16887, and lodged in the office of the Minister for Public Works, at Wellington, a copy of which is deposited in the office of the Registrar of the Supreme Court at Auckland.
Given under the hand of His Excellency Sir James Prendergast, Knight, Chief Justice, the Administrator of the Government of Her Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington, this thirteenth day of April, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and ninety-two.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in the Governor by “The Marriage Act, 1880,” I, James Prendergast, the Administrator of the Government of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby abolish the existing marriage districts known as the Timaru, Temuka, Waimate, Mount Cook, and Duntroun Districts, and do proclaim and declare that the territory heretofore comprised within the said districts is hereby divided anew into six marriage districts, the names and boundaries whereof shall be as follows:—
TIMARU DISTRICT.
All that area in the Canterbury Land District bounded towards the north generally by the Tengawai River from Mackenzie Pass to the road which forms the southern boundary of Section No. 31984, Block IV., Opawa Survey District; thence by the north side of that road and its continuation through the said Block IV. to Three-mile Bush Road; thence by the north side of the last-mentioned road to the Opihi River at the south-eastern boundary of Section No. 20125, Block XIII., Opihi Survey District; thence towards the north-east by the right bank of the said Opihi River to the sea; towards the south-east by the sea; towards the south generally by the Makikihi River and the middle branch thereof to its source; thence by a right line to Mount Studholme; thence towards the south-west by the summit of the Hunter’s Hills and the summit of the eastern watershed of the Hakateramea River to Dalgety Range; and thence by the summit of that range to Mackenzie Pass aforesaid, the place of commencement.
