I, EDWARD JOHN ROBERTS, of Dunedin, Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery of the New Zealand University, 1891, hereby give notice that I have this 7th day of January, 1892, deposited my diplomas with the Registrar of the Christchurch District, and that I shall apply to be registered under the New Zealand Medical Act on the 7th day of February, 1892.

NOTICE is hereby given that at an extraordinary general meeting of the shareholders of the Wairarapa Sale-yards Company (Limited), duly convened and held at Featherston, on the 19th day of December, 1891, a special resolution was duly passed as follows :—

"That the Wairarapa Sale-yards Company (Limited) be wound up voluntarily, and that Henry Hilmar Wolters, of Carterton, Commission Agent, be appointed Liquidator."

And notice is hereby further given that the said special resolution was duly confirmed at an extraordinary general meeting of the shareholders of the said company duly convened and held at Featherston, on the 9th day of January, 1892.

INANGAHUA COUNTY COUNCIL

PUBLIC NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND FOR ROAD.

TAKE notice that, it being the intention of the Inangahua County Council to take a portion of Section No. 1, Block IX., Reefton Survey District, for the purpose of constructing a road through the said section, under the provisions of "The Public Works Act, 1882," a plan of the proposed road has been prepared, and is now open to inspection by all persons desirous of inspecting the same at the County Chambers, Reefton, daily, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

All persons having any objection to the taking of the said land, or the construction of the said road, are notified that they must lodge all objections thereto in writing with the Inangahua County Council, within forty days from the first publication hereof.

KATIKATI-TE AROHA ROAD.

NOTICE UNDER SECTION 10 OF "THE PUBLIC WORKS ACT, 1882."

THE plan of that portion of the road surveyed through Sections 7, 12, 13, 14, and 17 of Block III., Wairere Survey District, is now open for inspection at the County Council Chambers, Tauranga.

  1. The land proposed to be taken is a roadway one chain in width through above-mentioned sections, and the nature of the work proposed is the formation and drainage of a road 20ft. in width.

  2. All persons affected must set forth in writing any well-grounded objections to the execution of the works proposed or to the taking of such lands, and must send such writing within forty days from the first publication of this notice to the Chairman of the County Council, Tauranga.

GERALDINE COUNTY COUNCIL.

SPECIAL ORDER.

AT a meeting of the Council of the County of Geraldine, held at the Council's Office, Timaru, on Wednesday, the 25th day of November, 1891, at 11 o'clock, the following resolutions were passed, and adopted :—

  1. That, a petition having been presented to this Council in accordance with the provisions of "The Counties Act, 1886," praying that all that portion of the said County of Geraldine situate in the Point Ward of the Levels Road District, the boundaries whereof are described in the said petition, might be constituted a water-race district, for the purpose of the construction of water-races therein, and the necessary plans of the said proposed district having been duly deposited for public inspection, and public notice thereof having been duly given, as required by the said Act and "The Water-supply Act, 1891," this Council doth hereby declare to be a water-race district under "The Water-supply Act, 1891," for the purpose of the construction of water-races therein, all that portion of the said Geraldine County situate in the Point Ward of the Levels Road District, and bounded as under.

  2. That the said district be called the Levels Downs Water-supply District, and shall be constituted from and after the 1st day of February, 1892.

  3. That the foregoing resolutions be confirmed at a meeting of the Council to be held on the 6th day of January, 1892, and this Special Order shall take effect from and after the 1st day of February, 1892.

Description of Boundaries.

Commencing at the most westerly corner of Rural Section No. 18032; thence south-easterly along the southern boundary of said section to a road; thence northerly to the southernmost corner of Rural Section No. 14907; thence north-easterly along the south-eastern boundary of said section to a road; thence south-easterly along the eastern side of said road to the southernmost corner of Rural Section No. 18390; thence north-easterly along the south-eastern boundary of said section, and along the south-eastern boundary of Rural Section No. 15896, to most northerly corner of Rural Section No. 19172; thence generally south-easterly along the southern boundaries of Rural Sections Nos. 19167 and 22136, intersecting Rural Sections Nos. 22136 and 15880, to the most westerly corner of Rural Section No. 19169; thence south-easterly along the south-western boundary of said section to a road; thence south-westerly to the most northern corner of Rural Section No. 23282; thence south-easterly along the north-eastern boundary of said section to the most southerly corner of Rural Section No. 27396; thence southerly along the western boundary of Rural Section No. 18559 to the south-western corner thereof; thence easterly along the southern boundary of said section and its produce line to the western boundary of Rural Section No. 19551; thence southerly along the western boundary of said section to the northern boundary of Rural Section No. 19549; thence easterly along the northern boundary of said section and its produced line to the most westerly corner of Rural Section No. 18974; thence north-easterly along the south-eastern boundaries of Rural Sections Nos. 20896 and 18929 to the north-western corner of Rural Section No. 18973; thence easterly along the northern boundary of said section to its north-eastern corner; thence southerly along the eastern boundary of said section to the north-western corner of Rural Section No. 19298; thence south-easterly along the southern boundary of Rural Section No. 19077 to a road; thence northerly along said road to the south-western corner of Rural Section No. 20660;
