Crown Lands Notices.
Sale of Sections in the Town of Makuri, and Villages of Tutaekara, Mangaone, and Ngaturi, and the Tutaekara Reserve.

IT is hereby notified, in terms of “The Land Act, 1885,” that the suburban sections in the Town of Makuri, and Villages of Tutaekara, Mangaone, and Ngaturi, and sections in the Tutaekara Reserve, subdivision of Lots 8 and 9, enumerated in the accompanying Schedule, will be offered for sale for cash by public auction, at the County Council Office, Pahiatua, on Friday, the 5th day of February, 1892, at 2 p.m.
Plans may be seen at the principal post-offices in the district, and at this office, where full particulars can also be obtained.
One-fifth of the purchase-money must be deposited on the fall of the hammer, and the balance, together with £1 Crown-grant fee, within thirty days, or the deposit will be forfeited. There are no limitations or restrictions incumbent upon purchasers of town lands for cash.
All sections unsold at the auction will be withdrawn until further notice.

This town is situated about fifteen miles from Pahiatua, eleven miles of which is a good formed dray-road, and four miles a horse-road only. The entire distance, however, will shortly be completed throughout for dray-traffic.
All the sections have been cleared. The soil is good, on a limestone formation, and the ground varies from level, or nearly so, to easy slopes. Some of the lower sections are known on special occasions to have been flooded in previous years.

The locality of the above is on the main coach-road between Woodville and Masterton, about six and a half miles south of Pahiatua.
The village is bounded on three sides by the McKenzie Special Settlement; the land is perfectly level, the soil being rich alluvial and covered with heavy mixed bush.

VILLAGE OF MANGAONE.

Subdivision of Section 24, Block III., Mangaone.

This village is situated at the intersection of the Mangaone Valley, Hawera, and Tawataia Roads, and is distant from Eketahuna about seven miles in a north-easterly direction, and is approached by formed roads. The land is good and well watered. The timber consists chiefly of tawa, with a few rimu and matai trees. The altitude is about 600ft. above sea-level.

The locality of the above is at the end of the Toritea Road, on the east bank of the Tiraumea River, and distant about six miles and a half from Pahiatua in an easterly direction, and is approached by formed roads to the river. The land is, generally speaking, level, soil fair to good, cleared of timber, and sown with English grass.
TUTAEKARA RESERVE.—SUBDIVISION OF LOTS 8 AND 9.

These sections are situated on the east side of the main coach-road between Woodville and Masterton, about seven miles and a quarter south of Pahiatua. The soil is rich alluvial, inclined to be sandy, and the entire area is level, and covered with forest, consisting chiefly of tawa, rata, kahikatea, horopito, patete, mahoe, koreao, &c., with the usual underscrub.

Forfeited Deferred-payment Land.

IT is hereby notified, in terms of the Land Acts, that the under-mentioned section will be offered at auction, for selection on deferred payments, at the County Council Office, Pahiatua, on Friday, the 5th February, 1892, at 2 p.m.
Particulars can be obtained at this office, and at the principal post-offices in the district.
A deposit of one-twentieth of the purchase-money, together with £1 1s. license-fee, must be deposited on the fall of the hammer, and the selector shall make the statutory declaration required under the deferred-payment system.
If there is no bid at the auction the section will be withdrawn till further notice.
SCHEDULE.
Section 13, Block I., Puketoi District; area, 640 acres; upset price per acre, £1 11s. 3d.
This section forms part of the South-west Puketoi Block, which is situated south-east of the Township of Pahiatua, and adjoining the Tiraumea-Makuri and Mangaone-Tiraumea Blocks. Access to the land is by the Hawera and Tane Roads. The section is covered with forest, and is well adapted for pastoral purposes.
