Altering the Name of a Cemetery.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this thirtieth day of December, 1891.
Present:
THE HONOURABLE THE PREMIER PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

I N exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the twelfth section of “The Land Act, 1885,” I, William Hillier, Earl of Onslow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, do hereby direct that the cemetery reserve, being Section two hundred and thirty-three, Parish of Komakorau, Auckland Land District, and described in the New Zealand Gazette No. 25, of the ninth day of April, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-one, shall be known as the Hukanui Cemetery, and not as the Kirikiriroa Cemetery, as therein stated.

Vesting a Reserve in the Thames County Council.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this thirtieth day of December, 1891.

THE HONOURABLE THE PREMIER PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

W HEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto was reserved for a quarry: And whereas it is expedient that the said land should be vested in the Thames County Council:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, and in exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by the fourth section of “The Public Reserves Act, 1881,” doth hereby declare that, from and after the day of the date hereof, the reserve mentioned in the Schedule hereto shall become vested in the Chairman, Councillors, and inhabitants of the Thames County, in trust, for a quarry.

SCHEDULE.
ALL that parcel of land in the Auckland Land District, being Section No. 3 of Block IV., Waihou Survey District,

and containing by admeasurement 41 acres, more or less. Bounded towards the north by a line, 3250 links; towards the south-east by a stream; towards the south by Omahu West No. 2B Block and a railway-siding, 2150 links; and towards the west by the western portion of Omahu West No. 2A Block, 1500 links, to the point of commencement: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less.

Native Land proposed to be taken for a Road in Opua-whanga Survey District.

At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this thirtieth day of December, 1891.

THE HONOURABLE THE PREMIER PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

W HEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken for a public work authorised to be constructed by the Government, to wit, the construction of a road:
And whereas the said land is held or occupied by Native owners:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by “The Public Works Act, 1882,” and the amendments thereof, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency William Hillier, Earl of Onslow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby order that the Government work known as a road shall and may be constructed on or through the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.
ALL that area containing by admeasurement 25 acres 1 rood 30 perches, more or less, in the Land District of Auckland, situate in the Opuawhanga Survey District, being a road, 100 links wide, traversing the Wairahi Block; the northern side of which commences at peg 115, on the south-western boundary-line of Section No. 4, Block V., and proceeds in a westerly direction to the western boundary-line of the said block: as the same is delineated on the plans marked S.G. 12979, 12979A, and 12979B, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, in the Land District of Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Terms and Conditions of Sale or Selection of Croydon Village-settlement Sections, in the Southland Land District

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this thirtieth day of December, 1891.

THE HONOURABLE THE PREMIER PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

W HEREAS by the one hundred and sixty-seventh section of “The Land Act, 1885,” it is enacted that the Governor in Council may fix the terms and conditions upon which the lands comprised in any village settlement shall be disposed of, and the mode of payment for the same:
And whereas His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand has, by Proclamation issued under the provisions of section one hundred and sixty-six of the said Act and the fourteenth section of “The Land Acts Amendment Act, 1888,” set apart the lands enumerated in the Schedule hereto as a village settlement:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by the hereinbefore in part recited Acts, and by and with the advice of the Executive Council thereof, doth, by this present order, fix the following as the terms and conditions upon which the village-settlement lands enumerated in the Schedules hereto shall be disposed of, and the mode of payment for the same, that is to say,—

  1. The lands enumerated in the First Schedule hereto shall be open as small-farm allotments, for sale or selection either for cash, or on deferred payments, or on perpetual lease.
  2. The day upon which the lands shall be open for sale or selection shall be Wednesday, the twenty-fourth day of February, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-two.
  3. The purchaser for cash of any of the lands enumerated in the First Schedule hereto must deposit with the Receiver of Land Revenue for the land district one-fifth of the purchase-money at the time of application, and shall pay the whole remainder of the purchase-money within thirty days of the granting of his application; and if not paid within thirty days his deposit shall be forfeited, and the lands shall be again open for sale or occupation forthwith; and upon full payment of the purchase-money and one pound grant-fee he will be entitled to a Crown grant, to be issued in the usual way.
  4. If any of the lands enumerated in the First Schedule hereto are selected upon deferred payments, the selector shall be subject to the provisions relating to suburban lands of Part III. of “The Land Act, 1885.”
  5. If any of the lands enumerated in the First Schedule hereto are selected under the perpetual-leasing system, the selector shall be subject to the provisions of Part IV. of “The Land Act, 1885.”
  6. No person shall be allowed to apply for or select more than one allotment.
  7. The prices stated in the First Schedule hereto shall be the prices at which the lands shall be open for sale for cash, or for selection on deferred payments, or on perpetual lease.
  8. If there shall be more than one application on the same day for any allotment, the right to occupy the same shall be determined by lot amongst the applicants.
