Now, therefore, His Excellency the Administrator of the Government of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby fix that a sitting of the Court of Appeal of New Zealand shall be held within the Supreme Court-house, in the City of Wellington, upon Monday, the twenty-fifth day of April, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-two, at eleven o’clock in the forenoon.

Shooting Season for Imported and Native Game, License-fee, &c., Rangitikei District.

IN exercise of the powers vested in me by “The Animals Protection Act, 1880,” and the Acts amending the same, I, James Prendergast, the Administrator of the Government of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby notify that cock-pheasants and quail may be taken or killed in the County of Rangitikei from the first day of May, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-two, to the thirty-first day of July, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-two, both inclusive (subject nevertheless to the restrictions in the said Acts mentioned). And I do further notify that licenses to take or kill such game within the said district shall be issued on payment of the sum of ten shillings each, and that licenses to sell game and native game shall be issued on payment of the sum of five pounds each; and the Postmasters at Marton and Bulls are hereby appointed to sign and issue the said licenses.

And I do further declare that native game, excepting tui, huia, white heron, and crested grebe, may be taken or killed within the above-mentioned district from the fifteenth day of April, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-two, to the thirty-first day of July, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-two, both days inclusive.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Administrator of the Government, this fifteenth day of March, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-two.

Revoking the Setting-apart of Land for Naval and Military Claims.

IN pursuance and exercise of all powers and authorities conferred upon me, I, James Prendergast, the Administrator of the Government of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby declare that, from and after the day of the date hereof, the warrant or instrument executed by the then Governor of the said colony, bearing date the sixteenth day of February, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-two, setting apart land for naval and military claims, in so far as it relates to the block mentioned in the Schedule hereto, is hereby revoked.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that area containing approximately about 4,700 acres, situated in Block XIII., Mangahao Survey District, and Block IV., Tararua Survey District. Bounded towards the north by a public road, and by Sections Nos. 1, 2, and 4, Block XIII., Mangahao Survey District; towards the south-east by the Mangahao River; and towards the west by a forest reserve and by Crown lands.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Administrator of the Government, this twenty-second day of March, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-two.

Rural Lands in the Southland Land District open for Sale or Selection.

ONSLOW, Governor.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the third section of “The Land Act Amendment Act, 1887” (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), I, William Hillier, Earl of Onslow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, having received the report of the Surveyor-General in this behalf, as in the said section is provided, do hereby declare that the rural lands enumerated in the Schedule hereto shall be open for sale or selection, after the lapse of a period of not less than forty-five days from the date of the first public notification hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, in the manner and upon the conditions mentioned in the said Act, and at the price per acre stated in the said Schedule.

Sections 13 and 14, hilly, rocky formation; 15, light mixed bush, dense undergrowth, soil good, level, gravel formation. Right to construct a railway through Sections 8, 9, 10, 12, 14, and 15 to be reserved.
