Notice of Acceptance of Complete Specifications.

Patent Office,
Wellington, 18th March, 1892.

COMPLETE specifications relating to the under-men-
tioned applications for Letters Patent have been ac-
cepted, and are open to public inspection at this office.
Any person may, at any time within two months from the
date of this Gazette, give me notice in writing, in duplicate,
of opposition to the grant of any such patent, stating in
such notice the particular grounds of his objection. A fee of
10s. is payable with such notice:—

No. 4997.—18th May, 1891.—John Golding Howard and
Charles Ryland Howard, of Sydney, New South Wales,
Engineers and Agricultural Implement Importers. An in-
vention for improvements in ploughshares. (Specification,
12s. ; drawings, 5s.)*

No. 5082.—7th July, 1891.—Edward Waters, of No. 131,
William Street, Melbourne, Victoria, Patent Agent (Nominee
of Francis Frappell Washington Oldfield, of No. 31, Elm
Grove, Peckham, England, Printer, and William Wilfred
Head and Henry Robert Mark, both of Fleet Lane, Old
Bailey, London, England, Printers, Assignees of Francis
Frappell Washington Oldfield, aforesaid). An invention for
improvements in or connected with printing-machines.

No. 5452.—26th February, 1892.—William Thomas Cor-
bett, of Winton, New Zealand, Wheelwright. An invention
entitled "Corbett's Convertible Seats for Vehicles." (Speci-
fication, 1s. 6d. ; drawings, 5s.)

No. 5456.—2nd March, 1892.—Thomas Falvey, of Christ-
church, New Zealand, Engineer. An invention for an auto-
matic total-registering machine. (Specification, 17s. ; draw-
ings, £1.)

No. 5458.—2nd March, 1892.—Walter Haydn Burton,
of Melrose, Devonport, Auckland, New Zealand, Machinist.
An invention entitled "The Non-exhausting Air- or Water-
engine." (Specification, 3s. ; drawings, 5s.)

No. 5459.—4th March, 1892.—Benjamin Ollerenshaw,
of Victoria Street, St. Clair, Caversham, Otago, New Zealand,
Machinist. An invention entitled "The Paragon Butter-
Print." (Specification, 3s. ; drawings, 3s.)

No. 5453.—5th March, 1892.—George Alonzo Everett,
of Lincoln's Inn Fields, London, England, Engineer. An
invention for improvements in machinery or apparatus for
effecting the complete mixture of inflammable gas or vapour
with air. (Specification, 14s. 6d. ; drawings, £1 5s.)

No. 5460.—7th March, 1892.—John Bartholomew, of
Feilding, Wellington, New Zealand, Sawmill Proprietor. An
invention for a sixth-wheel cross-action gear for vehicles.
(Specification, 2s. ; drawings, 3s.)

No. 5461.—8th March, 1892.—Edward Samuel Bond, of
Crown Machine Works, Lower Hurst Street, Birmingham,
England. An invention for a new or improved detector stop-
motion for wire-netting and other wire-working machines.
(Specification, 14s. 6d. ; drawings, £1 5s.)

No. 5462.—8th March, 1892.—James Simcoe Fitzmaurice,
of Sydney, New South Wales, Electrical Engineer. An in-
vention for an improved auto-calorific branding-tool. (Speci-
fication, 11s. ; drawings, 7s. 6d.)

No. 5463.—5th March, 1892.—Thomas Cottle, of Remuera,
Auckland, New Zealand, Author. An invention for the
firmer fixing of the handles in the heads of axes, hatchets,
tomahawks, hammers, and all tools where the handle is
inserted into a hole in the head of the tool, to be called
"The Grip-Handle Fixing." (Specification, 2s. ; draw-
ings, 2s.)

No. 5464.—9th March, 1892.—Holmes Samuel Chipman,
of 29, William Street, Melbourne, Victoria, Merchant
(Assignee of David Edwards, of 476, Elizabeth Street, Mel-
bourne, aforesaid). An invention for an improved sheaf-
carrier for reaping-and-binding machines. (Specification,
4s. 6d. ; drawings, 5s.)

estimate of the amount required for copying the drawings
have been inserted after the notice of each application. Any
order for a copy or copies should be accompanied by a post-
office order or postal notes for the cost of copying.

An asterisk (*) denotes the complete specification of an in-
vention for which a provisional specification has been already
lodged.

The date of acceptance of each application is given after
the number.
