Rural Lands in the Otago Land District open for Sale or Selection.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the third section of "The Land Act Amendment Act, 1887" (hereinafter termed "the said Act"), I, James Prendergast, the Administrator of the Government of the Colony of New Zealand, having received the report of the Surveyor-General in this behalf, as in the said section is provided, do hereby declare that the rural lands enumerated in the Schedule hereto shall be open for sale or selection, after the lapse of a period of not less than forty-five days from the date of the first public notification hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, in the manner and upon the conditions mentioned in the said Act, and at the price per acre stated in the said Schedule.

Open land, level, or undulating; light loamy soil, with sandy-clay subsoil; gravelly in parts; not generally well watered; altitude from 1,200ft to 1,300ft. above sea-level; situated from four to seven miles from Matakanui Post-office; distance from Dunedin about 140 miles; rail to Dunback or Middlemarch, thence by coach.

Fixing the Price of Land set apart for Naval and Military and Volunteer Land Claims.

WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto was, by warrant under the hand of His Excellency the Governor, dated the twenty-sixth day of December, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-one, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the thirty-first day of December, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-one, set apart for selection by the various holders of remission certificates issued under the authority of "The Naval and Military Settlers' and Volunteers' Land Act, 1891:"
Now, therefore, I, James Prendergast, the Administrator of the Government of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the eighth section of the said Act, do hereby fix the price of the sections of land enumerated in the Schedule hereto to be the price stated in the fifth and sixth columns of the said Schedule.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the sixth section of "The Cemeteries Act, 1882," I, James Prendergast, the Administrator of the Government of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby appoint the several persons whose names are specified in the first column of the Schedule hereto to be Trustees to have the maintenance and care of the cemetery specified in the second column of the said Schedule.
