A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by the second section of “The Government Loans to Local Bodies Act Amendment Act, 1891” (herein termed “the said Act”), it is, amongst other things, enacted that, before certain moneys therein mentioned shall be expended upon any block of land, it shall be necessary that the same be proclaimed as set apart for settlement:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of every power and authority enabling me in this behalf, and for the purposes of the said Act, I, James Prendergast, the Administrator of the Government of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim the blocks of land described in the Schedule hereto as set apart for settlement.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 4,000 acres, more or less, situated in the Maungataniwha Survey District, Mongonui County. Bounded towards the north generally by Sections Nos. 32, 31, 33, 39, 42, 130, 131, 132, 176, 149, and 143, Maungataniwha Parish; towards the east generally by a public road and a forest reserve; towards the south by a forest reserve and a public road; and towards the west by Sections Nos. 128 and 129, Maungataniwha Parish.
All that area in the Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 1,900 acres, more or less, situated in Takahue and Maungataniwha Survey Districts, Mongonui County. Bounded towards the north-west by Sections Nos. 147 and 145, Maungataniwha Parish; towards the north-east by Sections Nos. 108, 111, 112, 115, 116, 118, and 119, Maungataniwha Parish; and towards the east, south, and south-west by a forest reserve.
All that area in the Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 5,000 acres, more or less, situated in the Whangape Survey District, Hokianga County. Bounded towards the north generally by Sections Nos. 35, 34, 33, 30, 29, 22, 21, and 18, Block II., Whangape District, a village reserve, and the Manganuiowae River; towards the east by the eastern boundary-line of Section No. 35, Block I., and that boundary-line produced to a point in line with the northern boundary-line of Section No. 12, Block III.; thence towards the south generally by a right line to and by said Section No. 12 and by Sections Nos. 9 and 4, Block III., and Sections Nos. 6 and 4, Block V., Whangape District, and by Native land and a forest reserve; and towards the west generally by Rotokakahi Block and Te Awaroa No. 1 Block.
All that area in the Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 20,000 acres, more or less, situated in Hokianga County. Bounded towards the north by the summit of the range south of the Waimamaku River; towards the west by a right line due north about 60 chains east of Kowekaweka Trig. Station; again towards the north generally by the Manawakaiia Block, a forest reserve, and Native land; towards the east generally by a forest reserve, a northern branch of the Te-wai-o-kumurau River, by that river, the Te-wai-o-whata Stream, and the summit of the range on the north and east of the Maungatu River; towards the south generally by the summit of the range on the south of the Maungatu River, land allotted to the Kaihu Valley Railway Company, and a public road; and towards the west generally by the Waipoua No. 2 Block, and by Block I., Waipoua District, and Block XIII., Waoku District.
All that area in the Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 5,000 acres, more or less, situated in Motatau and Hukerenui Survey Districts, Bay of Islands and Whangarei Counties. Bounded towards the north by Section No. 19, Block VIII., Motatau District, and the southern boundary-line of that section produced easterly and westerly; towards the east by a public road; again towards the north by Sections Nos. 5, 14, and 13, Block IX., to a point in line with the southern boundary-line of Section No. 13, Block X., Hukerenui District; thence to and by that section and its southern boundary-line produced in an easterly direction to a forest reserve; thence towards the east by a forest reserve and its western boundary-line produced in a southerly direction; towards the south by Block XIV. to Section No. 6; and thence by Sections Nos. 6 and 7, Hukerenui District, and Sections Nos. 3, 4, 5, and 8, Block XIII.; and towards the west generally by Native land.
All that area in the Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 5,000 acres, more or less, situated in Matakohe Survey District, Otamatea County. Bounded towards the north generally by the Mangonui River; towards the east generally by a public road; towards the south by Sections Nos. 205, 215, and 221, Block VII., Matakohe District and a forest reserve; and towards the south-west by the south-western boundary of the Mareretu Parish.
All that area in the Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 4,000 acres, more or less, situated in Awaroa Survey District, Raglan County. Bounded towards the north by Block II.; towards the east by Blocks VII. and XI. to a point in line with the northern boundary-line of Section No. 72, Block X.; towards the south-east by a right line to and by that section; and towards the south-west by the Parish of Putataka.
All that area in the Motu Survey District, in the Hawke’s Bay Land District, containing by admeasurement 33,000 acres, more or less. Bounded towards the north by Motu Blocks Nos. 1, 2, and 3; towards the east by the land
