State Forests Act, 1885," to appoint

The COMMISSIONER OF CROWN LANDS for the LAND
DISTRICT OF TARANAKI,
CLEMENT WILLIAM GOVETT, Esq.,
ROBERT GEORGE BAUCHOPE, Esq.,
FREDERICK LEWIS WEBSTER, Esq., and
NIEL KERR MCDIARMID, Esq.,
to be Conservators of State Forests, and to have the manage-
ment of the under-mentioned portion of the Mount Egmont
State Forest known as the North Egmont State Forest,
bounded as follows: On the south by the Waiweranui
Stream from where it crosses the Forest Reserve-line to its
source; thence by a straight line to the summit of Mount
Egmont; on the west and north by the Forest Reserve-line
from the Waiweranui Stream to the Waiongona Stream;
on the east by the Waiongona Stream from where it crosses
the Forest Reserve-line to its source; thence by a straight
line to the summit of Mount Egmont.

THE following special order, made by the Alfredton
Road Board, is published in accordance with "The
Road Boards Act, 1882."

SPECIAL ORDER.
THAT to meet the interest on the loan of £300, borrowed
under "The Government Loans to Local Bodies Act, 1886,"
and amendments, for the formation and bridging on the
Tawataia Road (north end), a special rate of 3d. in the
pound be struck on the rateable value of the following
sections: Nos. 10, 13, 16, 19, 22, 28, 28A, 28B, 30, 30A, 30B,
31, 44, 43, 42, 41, 40, 27, 21, 18, 15, 12, Block VII., and
Sections Nos. 7, 8, 9, and 10, Block XI., Mangaone, and
that any thirds accruing to these be also pledged in repay-
ment of interest; said rate to commence on the 1st April,
1892, and end on the 31st March, 1918, to be paid each year
in one sum on the 1st June; first payment to be made on
the 1st June, 1892.
Confirmed on the 13th February, 1892.
I certify that this special order was duly passed on the
13th February, 1892.

County Council, is published in accordance with "The
Counties Act, 1886."

SPECIAL ORDER.
THAT a special order be now made constituting the Kaitoke
Riding a road district as provided in the Road Boards and
Counties Acts; that the number of members of the Road
Board be five; that the name of the Road Board be the
Kaitoke Road Board; and that the boundaries be as per
Schedule hereunder.
Schedule above referred to.
The north-eastern boundary commences at a point where
the production of the southern boundary of the No. 2 Line of
road strikes the Wanganui River, in Block V., Ikitara Survey
District; and proceeds thence along said line to the north-
east corner of Manawakowara No. 3 Block, Putiki Native
Reserve; thence along its eastern and south-eastern
boundary-lines to its intersection with the Iwiroa Block;
thence along part of the northern and along the western
boundary-lines to the south-east corner of said block; thence
along the northern and eastern boundary-lines of the Kohipo
Block to the south-west corner of the Manawakowara No. 1
Block; thence along the south-western boundary-lines of the
said block to the Pariatumanga No. 1 Block; thence along
south-western and south-eastern boundary-lines of last-named
block to the eastern boundary of the Putiki Reserve; thence
to the south-west corner of Section No. 33, Block VI.,
Ikitara Survey District; thence along southern and part of
eastern boundary-lines of said section to south-west corner
of Section No. 34; thence along southern boundary of
Sections Nos. 34, 35, 36, 37, 38, 39, 40, 41, 42, and part of
136; thence along the western and southern boundary-lines
of Section No. 137, the western, southern, and eastern
boundary-lines of Section No. 153, the eastern boundary of
Section No. 154, part of the southern boundary of Section
No. 134, the southern boundary-lines of Sections Nos.
135, 177, 179, 180, 189, 190, and the production of said line
to its intersection with the centre of the Warrengate
Line; thence along said line on a bearing of 220° 40' 5840
links, and by lines bearing 101° 33' 6135 links, 140° 18' 4448
links, and 122° 53' 6266 links to the Wangaehu River;
towards the south by the centre of the said river to its con-
fluence with Cook Strait; towards the south-west by Cook
Strait to the mouth of the Wanganui River; and towards
the north-west by the Wanganui River to the starting-point.
I, Ernest Barns, Clerk of the Wanganui County Council,
hereby certify that the above is a true copy in effect of a
special order made by the Wanganui County Council at a
special meeting held on Tuesday, the 1st September, 1891,
and subsequently confirmed at an ordinary meeting held on
Tuesday, the 6th October, 1891.

Special Order made by the Ormond Road Board, County
of Cook.

THE following special order, made by the Ormond Road
Board, is published in accordance with "The Road
Boards Act, 1882."

SPECIAL ORDER.-ORMOND ROAD BOARD.
THE above Board have received a requisition, signed by
over two-thirds of the ratepayers of the district, and repre-
senting considerably over one-half the rateable value therein,
that the Board levy a special rate of 3d. in the pound on all
rateable property within the said district, such special rate
to be applied in defraying the cost of bridge over the Mahu-
nga Creek, and to drain, form, and gravel the back road,
Township of Ormond; and, by special order in conformity
therewith, hereby notify that, in accordance with section
121 of the Road Boards Act, they will proceed to levy a rate
of 3d. in the pound on all rateable property in the district
thirty days from the date hereof; the rate to be due and
payable in one instalment, at the residence of Robert
Robertson, Ormond, on the 11th day of February, 1892.
