A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS, in accordance with the provisions of "The Railways Authorisation and Management Act, 1891," the Governor has determined the limit of the extension of the Wellington-Napier Railway from the present terminus of the said railway, at Thorndon, in the City of Wellington, to a point on the Te Aro reclamation, in the said city, which said point is also mentioned in the Schedule hereto:
Now, therefore, I, William Hillier, Earl of Onslow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred on me by "The Railways Authorisation and Management Act, 1891," and by sections one hundred and twenty-nine and one hundred and thirty of "The Public Works Act, 1882," and in exercise of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in that behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the middle line of the extension of the said railway shall be that defined and set forth in the said Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
A LINE commencing at a point at Thorndon, in the City of Wellington, situated on the northern boundary of Bunny Street, and distant about 140 links in a south-easterly direction from Featherston Street; proceeding thence generally in a southerly and south-easterly direction for a distance of about 1 mile 10 chains; passing in, into, through, or over the following lands and places, viz.: The said Bunny Street, railway land, Whitmore Street, Block II., Thorndon reclaimed land, Waterloo Quay, Customhouse Quay, Wellington Harbour, Jervois Quay, and Te Aro reclamation; including all adjoining and intervening places, roads, streets, reserves, foreshores, and watercourses; and terminating at a point on the said reclamation distant about 394 links in a north-easterly direction from the Government survey standard-block 221, the same being the point so determined by the Governor under the authority of "The Railways Authorisation and Management Act, 1891;" all in the City of Wellington: in the manner delineated on the plan P.W.D. 16891, in the office of the Minister for Public Works, at Wellington, a copy of which is deposited at the office of the Registrar of the Supreme Court at Wellington aforesaid.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable William Hillier, Earl of Onslow, of Onslow in the County of Salop; Viscount Cranley, of Cranley in the County of Surrey; Baron Onslow, of Onslow in the County of Salop, and of West Clandon in the County of Surrey; Baron Cranley, of Imbercourt; Baronet; Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George; Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty's Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral of the same; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington, this seventeenth day of February, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and ninety-two.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this thirtieth day of December, 1891.

THE HONOURABLE THE PREMIER PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken for a public work authorised to be constructed by the Government, to wit, the construction of a road:
And whereas the said land is held or occupied by Native owners:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by "The Public Works Act, 1882," and the amendments thereof, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency William Hillier, Earl of Onslow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby order that the Government work known as a road shall and may be constructed on or through the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area containing by admeasurement 25 acres 1 rood 30 perches, more or less, in the Land District of Auckland, situate in the Opuawhanga Survey District, being a road,
