Land set apart for Naval and Military and Volunteer Land Claims.

ONSLOW, Governor.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the eighth section of “The Naval and Military Settlers’ and Volunteers’ Land Act, 1891,” I, William Hillier, Earl of Onslow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby set apart the land described in the Schedule hereto for selection by the various holders of remission certificates issued under the authority of the said Act.

SCHEDULE.

WESTLAND.

ALL that parcel of land in the Westland Land District, being Blocks VII. and VIII., Okuru Survey District, containing by admeasurement 750 acres, more or less. Bounded towards the north-west and north by a road along the south-east bank of Howard’s Creek and the south-west side of the Haast River, 7000 links; towards the north-east by Section No. 289, 6000, 5731, and 2300 links, and by a road along the south-west side of Haast River, 7350 links; towards the south-east by a road along overflow-channel of Haast River, 6400 links; towards the south by a line bearing 270° from traverse-peg xvi., and commencing 200 links west therefrom, 1900 links; and towards the south-west by a line bearing 330° 20′ 47″, running through traverse-peg iv. a distance of 16238·4 links to road, and in continuation of said bearing on western side of said road a distance of 160 links.

Trustees for the Maintenance of the Kohukohu Public Cemetery appointed.

ONSLOW, Governor.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the forty-fifth section of “The Cemeteries Act, 1882,” I, William Hillier, Earl of Onslow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby appoint the local authority specified in the first column of the Schedule hereto to have the control and management of the public cemetery specified in the second column of the said Schedule.

All that parcel of land in the Auckland Land District, being called or known as Section No. 15, Suburbs of Kohukohu, and containing by admeasurement 8 acres 1 rood, more or less. Bounded towards the north-west by Section No. 2, Block X., Mangamuka Survey District, 732 links; towards the north-east by Section No. 14, Suburbs of Kohukohu, 382 links; towards the east by a road reserve along the Hokianga River, 385 and 770 links; towards the south by Section No. 18, Suburbs of Kohukohu, 399 links; and towards the south-west by a public road, 229, 471, 529, and 439 links.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this twenty-second day of January, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-two.

Trustees for Tokanui Cemetery appointed.

ONSLOW, Governor.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the sixth section of “The Cemeteries Act, 1882,” I, William Hillier, Earl of Onslow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby appoint the several persons whose names are specified in the first column of the Schedule hereto to be Trustees to provide for the maintenance and care of the public cemetery specified in the second column of the said Schedule.

Bounded on the north by Section No. 31, Block II., 691·8 links; on the east by East Street, 732·5 links; on the south by South Street, 691·8 links; and on the west by Section No. 32, Block II., 732·5 links: as the same is delineated on the plan deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor, Invercargill. |
