ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this twenty-
fourth day of December, 1891.
Present:
THE HONOURABLE MR. BUCKLEY PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS the Cambridge Borough Council, being a
leasing authority within the meaning of "The Public
Bodies' Powers Act, 1887" (hereinafter termed "the said
Act"), has requested that these presents should issue, and
it appears expedient to make the order hereinafter con-
tained :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony
of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers
conferred upon him by the said Act, and by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said
colony, doth hereby order and declare that the Cambridge
Borough Council shall, as from the date of publication
hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, be subject to the pro-
visions of the said Act.

Rural Land open for Sale or Selection, Auckland Land
District.

ONSLow, Governor.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
conferred upon me by the third section of "The Land
Act Amendment Act, 1887" (hereinafter termed "the said
Act"), I, William Hillier, Earl of Onslow, the Governor of
the Colony of New Zealand, having received the report of
the Surveyor-General in this behalf, as in the said section is
provided, do hereby declare that the rural land enumerated
in the Schedule hereto shall be open for sale or selection,
after the lapse of a period of not less than forty-five days
from the date of the first public notification hereof, in the
manner and upon the conditions mentioned in the said Act,
and at the price per acre stated in the said Schedule.

SCHEDULE.
SECOND-CLASS UNSURVEYED LAND.
ALL that parcel of land in the Auckland Land District,
situate in the Parish of Aotea, Great Barrier Island, and
containing approximately 2,300 acres. Bounded towards
the north by Sections 169 and 167 of the Parish of Aotea,
and by a public road; towards the east generally by the sea;
towards the south generally by the Kaitoke Stream, by Sec-
tion 147 of the Parish of Aotea aforesaid, by the Kaitoke
Stream, by a public road, and by Section 136 of the Parish
of Aotea aforesaid; and towards the west generally by Sec-
tions 4, 181, and 179 of the parish aforesaid to the point of
commencement.
Nearly all open land, covered with fern, and some swamp;
soil, poor red clay. Situated on the east coast of Great
Barrier Island. Cash price, 5s. per acre.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor,
this twenty-sixth day of December, one thousand
eight hundred and ninety-one.

III., 189 acres. Cash price—Per acre, 20s.; total cash price,
£189. Deferred-payment price—Per acre, 25s.; half-yearly
instalment, £11 16s. 3d. Perpetual lease—Rent per acre,
1s.; half-yearly rent, £4 14s. 6d.
