THE UPPER SHOTOVER GOLD-DREDGING COMPANY (LIMITED).

NOTICE is hereby given that an Extraordinary Meeting of the Upper Shotover Gold-dredging Company (Limited) will be held in the company’s office, Princes Street, Dunedin, on Wednesday, the 2nd December, 1891, at 4 p.m., when the following resolutions, which were passed at an extraordinary meeting of the company held on the 12th instant, will be submitted for confirmation, viz.:

  1. “That the company be wound up voluntarily.”
  2. “That Mr. W. Vivian be appointed Liquidator.”

The above resolution as to winding up, if passed, is intended to take effect under subsection 2 of section 189 of “The Companies Act, 1882.”

THE BLUE SLATE GOLD-MINING COMPANY (LIMITED), IN LIQUIDATION.

NOTICE is hereby given, in pursuance of section 202 of “The Companies Act, 1882,” that a General Meeting of the members of the above company will be held at the company’s office, Princes Street, Dunedin, on Friday, the 12th day of February, 1892, at 4 o’clock in the afternoon, (1) for the purpose of considering and, if thought fit, passing an extraordinary resolution granting further remuneration to the Liquidator and disposing of the final balance in hand; and (2) for the purpose of having an account laid before them showing the manner in which the winding-up has been conducted and the property of the company disposed of, and of hearing any explanation that may be given by the Liquidator; and also of determining, by extraordinary resolution, the manner in which the books, accounts, and documents of the company and of the Liquidator thereof shall be disposed of.

IN THE MATTER OF “THE MINING COMPANIES ACT, 1886.”

To the Great Extended Sluicing Company (Registered).

TAKE notice that, on the expiration of seven days after the service of this notice, the Bank of New Zealand, being a creditor to whom you are indebted in the sum of one thousand one hundred and twenty-four pounds four shillings, on a judgment obtained against you by the said bank in the Supreme Court of New Zealand, Otago and Southland District, at Dunedin, on the fifteenth day of September, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-one, intends to present to the said Supreme Court, at Dunedin aforesaid, or to a Judge thereof, a petition praying that you, the said company, be wound up by the Court under the provisions of the above-mentioned Act, on the grounds, inter alia, that you are unable to pay your debts, and that it is just and equitable you should be wound up.

This notice is executed by the said bank by Alexander Michie, as its attorney, acting under power of attorney in his possession, dated the ninth day of September, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-four.

NOTICE is hereby given that a schedule has been duly prepared, under section 113 of the above-named Act, showing the realised amount of the assets of the above-named company, including the contributions and liabilities of the company, the amount of moneys available for the claims in the matter of the winding-up, and the proposed plan of distribution thereof; and that the said schedule is open in my office, situated in Palmerston Street, Westport, for inspection by the contributors to and creditors of the company; and that the claims mentioned in the said schedule will, after the lapse of twenty-one days from the publication hereof, be paid at my said office.

I, THOMAS MACALLAN, Bachelor of Medicine and Master of Surgery of Aberdeen University, and a duly-registered Medical Practitioner of Great Britain, residing at Napier, do now give notice of my intention of applying, on the 2nd day of January, 1892, to have my name placed on the Register of Medical Practitioners in the Colony of New Zealand; and I have this day deposited with the Registrar at Napier the evidence of my qualifications, in terms of “The Medical Practitioners Act, 1869.”

NOTICE is hereby given that the Registrar of Friendly Societies has, pursuant to section 10 of “The Friendly Societies Act, 1882,” by writing under his hand dated this 7th day of December, 1891, cancelled the registry of the Kaikora North Lodge, Register No. 196 (13), held at Kaikora, Branch of the Hawke’s Bay District, Manchester Unity, Independent Order of Odd Fellows, on the ground that the said branch has ceased to exist.
