New Zealand Company's Land Claims.—Commissioner's Report.

I, ALFRED GREENFIELD, Commissioner duly appointed by virtue of the Ordinance No. 15, Session XI., of the Legislative Council of New Zealand, to hear and decide claims to land by persons claiming title thereto from, through, or under the New Zealand Company, do hereby report that the claim of Fanny Isabella Kemble, of Berwick Saint John, near Salisbury, in the County of Wilts, in England, having been referred to me, I hereby decide that the said Fanny Isabella Kemble is entitled to a Crown grant for 150 acres of land in the District of Takaka, in the Provincial District of Nelson, being Section No. 25 on the plan of the said district. And I do further decide that the legal estate in the said section was vested in the said claimant on the 28th day of June, 1847.

I, ALFRED GREENFIELD, Commissioner duly appointed by virtue of the Ordinance No. 15, Session XI., of the Legislative Council of New Zealand, to hear and decide claims to land by persons claiming title thereto from, through, or under the New Zealand Company, do hereby report that the claim of Fanny Isabella Kemble, of Berwick Saint John, near Salisbury, in the County of Wilts, in England, having been referred to me, I hereby decide that the said Fanny Isabella Kemble is entitled to a Crown grant for 50 acres of land in the District of Waitohi, in the Provincial District of Marlborough (formerly part of the original Province of Nelson), being Section No. 33 on the plan of the said district. And I do further decide that the legal estate of the said section was vested in the said claimant on the 28th day of June, 1847.

I, ALFRED GREENFIELD, Commissioner duly appointed by virtue of the Ordinance No. 15, Session XI., of the Legislative Council of New Zealand, to hear and decide claims to land by persons claiming title thereto from, through, or under the New Zealand Company, do hereby report that the claim of Margaret Sumner, of the City of Gloucester, in England, Widow, and Francis Henry Sumner, of Gloucester, in England, Clerk in Holy Orders, having been referred to me, I hereby decide that the said Margaret Sumner and Francis Henry Sumner are entitled to Crown grants for the under-mentioned lands, namely: Section No. 35 on the plan of Picton Suburban, in the Provincial District of Marlborough, containing 50 acres, more or less, and Section No. 87 on the plan of the District of Omaka, in the Provincial District of Marlborough, containing 150 acres, more or less. And I do further decide that the legal estate in the said lands is vested in the said claimants from this date.

I, ALFRED GREENFIELD, Commissioner duly appointed by virtue of the Ordinance No. 15, Session XI., of the Legislative Council of New Zealand, to hear and decide claims to land by persons claiming title thereto from, through, or under the New Zealand Company, do hereby report that the claim of Theophilus Palmer Gwatkin, of the City of Bath, in England, Esquire, and Thomas Cox Parsons, of Westfield, in the County of Kent, in England, Esquire, having been referred to me, I hereby decide that the said Theophilus Palmer Gwatkin and Thomas Cox Parsons are entitled to a Crown grant for the under-mentioned land, viz.: Part of Section No. 177 on the plan of the District of Waimea East, in the Provincial District of Nelson; bounded north-east by other part of said Section No. 177, south-east by a public road, south-west by Section No. 141, and north-west by a public road on the bank of the Waimea River; containing by admeasurement 50 acres, more or less. And I do further decide that the legal estate in the said land is vested in the said claimants from this date.

Patent Office Supplement.

A SEPARATE Supplement to the New Zealand Gazette is now published fortnightly, containing all notices concerning patents and trade-marks required by law to be gazetted; also, particulars of lapsed applications for patents, expired letters patent, and other information useful to inventors, manufacturers, and others. The Supplement will be issued free to subscribers to the Gazette, and to others on payment of a special subscription of ten shillings per annum, payable in advance to the Government Printer.

Crown Lands Notices.

Pastoral Leases in the Wellington Land District to be offered at Auction.

District Land and Survey Office,
Wellington, 23rd November, 1891.

NOTICE is hereby given that the under-mentioned runs will be offered at auction, on Thursday, the 7th January, 1892, at this office, at 2.30 p.m., on pastoral lease, for a term of ten years, at the upset annual rental stated opposite each run.

These runs are islands in the Waingawa River, situated in Block XV., Mikimiki Survey District, and Block III., Tiffin Survey District. Run No. 26, containing 27 acres, is flat land and good soil; about half the area is bush, the balance being open and in grass. Run No. 27, of 120 acres, is also level, about two-thirds is covered with light bush and scrub, and the remainder being shingle; about 40 acres of the land is good soil, the rest being shingle or stony formation. Portions of both runs are subject to floods when the river is high. The leases of the above runs will be sold subject to the provisions contained in “The Land Act, 1885,” relating to the sale of runs. Full particulars can be obtained at this office.
