Additional Land taken in the Paritutu Survey District
for the Purposes of the Waitara-New Plymouth Rail-
way.

A NOTIFICATION.

WHEREAS it has been found desirable, for the use, con-
venience, and enjoyment of the Waitara-New Ply-
mouth Railway, to take further land in the Paritutu Survey
District, in addition to land previously acquired for the
purposes of the said railway:

Now, therefore, we, the New Zealand Railway Commis-
sioners, in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred
on us by "The Government Railways Act, 1887," and of
every other power and authority in anywise enabling us in
that behalf, do hereby notify and declare that the land
mentioned in the Schedule hereto is taken for the purposes
above mentioned.

parcel of land is more particularly delineated on the plan
marked 5271, deposited in the office of the New Zealand
Railway Commissioners, at Wellington, and thereon coloured
red.

Given under the common seal of the New Zealand
Railway Commissioners, at Wellington, this
(L.S.) seventh day of November, in the year of our Lord
one thousand eight hundred and ninety-one.

the Commissioner of Trade and Customs has decided to
interpret "The Customs and Excise Duties Act, 1888," in
relation to the under-mentioned articles as follow:—

Societies Act, 1882," by writing under his hand dated this
12th day of November, 1891, cancelled the registry of the
Court Turnagain, Register No. 150 (13), held at Herbertville,
Branch of the Hawke's Bay District Ancient Order of
Foresters, on the ground that the said branch has ceased to
exist.

the 19th December, 1891, for the exclusive right of ad-
vertising on the back of postage- and revenue-stamps and
telegram-forms, in accordance with specifications which
may be seen at any of the under-mentioned Post and Tele-
graph Offices, viz.: Auckland, Thames, Tauranga, Gisborne,
Napier, Hastings, Palmerston North, New Plymouth, Ha-
wera, Wanganui, Blenheim, Nelson, Westport, Greymouth,
Hokitika, Christchurch, Lyttelton, Ashburton, Timaru,
Oamaru, Port Chalmers, Dunedin, Invercargill; and also at
the Government Printing Office, Wellington.

Tenders, which must be accompanied by a cheque for £150,
to be addressed to "The Postmaster-General, Wellington,"
and the envelope superscribed "Tender for advertising."
The highest or any tender not necessarily accepted.

be issued free to subscribers to the Gazette, and to others on
payment of a special subscription of ten shillings per annum,
payable in advance to the Government Printer.
