Defining the Purpose of a Reserve.
ONSLOW, Governor.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this sixth day
of November, 1891.
Present:
THE HONOURABLE THE PREMIER PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto
is now vested in her Majesty, being a line of road
which was closed by a Proclamation dated the twentieth day
of April, one thousand eight hundred and seventy, issued
under the hand of the Superintendent of the Province of
Otago, in pursuance of the powers conferred upon him by
“ The Roads Diversion Ordinance (No. 2), 1865 :”
And whereas it is desirable that the land should be dealt
with as provided by “ The Public Reserves Act, 1881 :”
Now, therefore, I, William Hillier, Earl of Onslow, the
Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the
consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, and in
exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me
by the sixth section of “ The Public Reserves Act, 1881,” and
all other powers and authorities enabling me in that behalf,
do hereby declare and define that the purpose for which the
said land shall, from and after the day of the date hereof, be
dedicated shall be for a public highway.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Provincial District of Otago, containing
by admeasurement 2 acres and 21 perches, more or less,
being part of a closed road-line, situate in the Tokomairiro
District; commencing at the southern corner of Section 183,
Block XXIII.; and thence bounded towards the south-east by
a road-line for a distance of 60 links; thence towards the
south-west by Sections 198, 199, and part of 200, Block XXV.,
for a distance of 3560 links; thence towards the north-west
by said closed road for a distance of 60 links; and thence
towards the north-east by a district road 60 links, and by
said Section 183, Block XXIII., for a distance of 3500 links,
to commencing-point: be all the aforesaid linkages more or
less.

Closing Cemetery at Reefton, County of Inangahua.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this sixth
day of November, 1891.

THE HONOURABLE THE PREMIER PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS it appears to the Governor that burials in
the cemetery at Reefton, described in the Schedule
hereto, should be wholly discontinued: And whereas a suf-
ficient cemetery not within the limits of any borough or town
district has been provided and has been prepared for the
interment of the dead, as required by “ The Cemeteries Act,
1882 :”
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor, by and with
the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the
Colony of New Zealand, and in pursuance of the authorities
vested in him by the said “ Cemeteries Act, 1882,” doth
hereby order and direct that, from and after the first day of
June, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-two, burials
within the cemetery at Reefton, described in the aforesaid
Schedule, shall be wholly discontinued; and, further, that
the said cemetery or burial-ground shall, from and after the
said first day of June, one thousand eight hundred and
ninety-two, be vested in the Chairman, Councillors, and
inhabitants of the County of Inangahua, under the provi-
sions and for the purposes of the seventy-ninth section of
the said “ Cemeteries Act, 1882.”
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Nelson Land District, containing by
admeasurement 2 acres and 8 perches, more or less, being
Section No. 1329 on the plan of the Town of Reefton.

Rural Lands in the Auckland Land District open for Sale
or Selection.
ONSLOW, Governor.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
conferred upon me by the third section of “ The Land
Act Amendment Act, 1887 ” (hereinafter termed “ the said
Act”), I, William Hillier, Earl of Onslow, the Governor of
the Colony of New Zealand, having received the report of the
Surveyor-General in this behalf, as in the said section is
provided, do hereby declare that the rural lands enumerated
in the Schedule hereto shall be open for sale or selection,
after the lapse of a period of not less than forty-five days
from the date of the first public notification hereof, in the
manner and upon the conditions mentioned in the said Act,
and at the price per acre stated in the said Schedule.

Whangarei County.—Parish of Maungatapere.
ALL that parcel of land in the Auckland Land District, situate
in the Parish of Maungatapere, and containing approximately
1,250 acres. Bounded towards the north by Section 63 of
the Parish of Maungatapere and the southern boundary of
Purua Survey District; towards the east generally by a
right line running due south to the northernmost angle of
Section 107 of the Parish of Maungataupere aforesaid, by
that section and Sections 105 and 106 of the same parish, by
a right line from the westernmost angle of Section 106 afore-
said to the northernmost angle of Section 102 of the same
parish, and by said Section 102; towards the south generally
by Section 103 of the Parish of Maungatapere, and by Sec-
tions 121 and 120 of the Parish of Maungakaramea; and
towards the west by a forest reserve to the point of com-
encement.
Partially open and partially covered with mixed forest,
poor land; not accessible by any formed road. Cash price,
5s. an acre.
Whangarei County.—Purua Survey District.
All that parcel of land in the Auckland Land District,
situate in Block II., Purua Survey District, and containing
approximately 1,600 acres. Bounded towards the north
generally by a public road; towards the south-east gene-
rally by the Wairua River; towards the south generally by
Section 20 of Block II., Purua Survey District, and by the
southern boundary of that block; and towards the west by
the eastern boundary of Block VIII., Mangakahia Survey
District, to the point of commencement.
All open land of inferior quality and rather broken. Cash
price, 5s. an acre.
