SPECIAL ORDER.
THAT “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1886,” and “The Government Loans to Local Bodies Act, 1886,” and amendments thereto, be adopted within the Pakuranga Road District.
I hereby certify that the above special order was duly made by the Pakuranga Road Board, in conformity with the provisions of “The Road Boards Act, 1882.”

THE following special order, made by the Fitzherbert Road Board, is published in accordance with “The Road Boards Act, 1882.”

SPECIAL ORDER made by the Fitzherbert Road Board, at a Meeting held on Monday, the 12th October, 1891.
THAT a special rate of two and nine-sixteenths of a penny in the pound be made on the value of the following properties, viz., Sections 305, Block III., 322 to 324, Block VI., 306 to 313, and 325 to 331, Block VII., and 314, part 315, part 316, part 317, and part 318, inclusive, Block VIII., all in the Arawaru Survey District, and within the Fitzherbert Road District, for the purpose of paying interest and other charges on a loan of £800, borrowed under “The Government Loans to Local Bodies Act, 1886,” for the construction of the Kahuterawa Road; such rate to be annually recurring for twenty-six years, and payable at the Board’s office, Palmerston North, in two instalments, viz., on the 1st February and the 1st August in each year.
I hereby certify that the foregoing special order has been duly made by the Fitzherbert Road Board, as required by “The Road Boards Act, 1882.”

THE Auckland Harbour Board has given notice that, in consequence of the extension of the outer western tee of the Queen Street Wharf, Auckland, the two white lights hoisted horizontally on this tee have been moved westward of their former position to the end of the tee as now constructed, a distance of 120ft.

A NOTIFICATION.
WHEREAS it has been found desirable, for the use, convenience, and enjoyment of the Lyttelton-Bluff Railway, to take further land in the Hinds Survey District, in addition to land previously acquired for the purposes of the said railway:
Now, therefore, we, the New Zealand Railway Commissioners, in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on us by “The Government Railways Act, 1887,” and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling us in that behalf, do hereby notify and declare that the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is taken for the purposes above mentioned.

Tenders for Steam-service, Pelorus Sound.
General Post Office,

TENDERS will be received at this office up to Saturday, the 14th November, 1891, for one or other of the following services by steam-vessel, once every two weeks:—
-
Between Wellington and Havelock, and Havelock and Wellington, calling at Maori Bay, Homewood, Maude Island, and Ketu Bay both ways.
-
Between Wellington, Havelock and Nelson, and Nelson, Havelock and Wellington, calling at intermediate places as before named.
The service, if required, to commence within two weeks of the date of acceptance of tender.
Tenders to state the name, tonnage and horse-power of each vessel to be employed, and to be addressed to “The Postmaster-General, Wellington,” and superscribed “Tender for Pelorus Service.”
Each tender to be accompanied by a cheque equal to 10 per cent. of the amount of the tender, and marked as good for twenty-one days.
