And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor, it is expe-
dient to vest the said lands in the Road Board of the Pokeno
District:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony
of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the
Executive Council of the said colony, and in exercise of the
powers and authorities vested in him by the fourth section
of "The Public Reserves Act, 1881," doth hereby declare
that, from and after the day of the date hereof, the said
reserve mentioned in the Schedule hereto shall become
vested in the Road Board of the Pokeno District, in trust,
for a quarry.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that parcel of land in the Land District of Auckland,
being Allotment No. 117 of Section No. 1, Parish of Maunga-
tawhiri, containing by admeasurement 8 acres and 25 perches,
more or less. Bounded towards the north-east by Allotment
No. 118 of Section No. 1 of the Parish of Maungatawhiri
aforesaid, 1209 links; towards the south-east by Allotment
No. 125 of the same section, 825 links; towards the south-
west by a public road, 1200 links; and towards the north-
west by a public road, 818 links, to the point of commence-
ment: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less; save and
except a road, 100 links wide, which intersects the area
hereinbefore described.

Vesting a Reserve in the Napier Borough Council.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this tenth day
of September, 1891.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto
was reserved as a site for public buildings: And
whereas it is expedient that the said land should be vested
in the Napier Borough Council:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony
of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the
Executive Council of the said colony, and in exercise of the
powers and authorities vested in him by the fourth section
of "The Public Reserves Act, 1881," doth hereby declare
that, from and after the day of the date hereof, the reserve
mentioned in the Schedule hereto shall become vested in the
Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of Napier,
in trust, for a site for charitable-aid buildings.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that parcel of land in the Hawke's Bay Land District,
containing by admeasurement 2 acres and 13 perches, more
or less, being portion of Barrack Reserve, Town of Napier.
Bounded towards the north by a public road, 50, 148·2, and
596·5 links; towards the east and south-east by Lawrence
Road, 18·2, 234·7, 97·3, 68·8, 104·5, 58, 128·1, and 84·8 links;
towards the south and south-west by the Powder Magazine
Reserve 107·25 and 141·75 links, and a public road 172 links;
towards the west by a public road, 13·9, 25, and 25 links:
be all the aforesaid linkages more or less; as the same is
delineated on the plan deposited in the office of the Chief
Surveyor, Napier.

Changing the Purpose of a Reserve in Southland.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this tenth day
of September, 1891.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS the land mentioned in the first column of
the Schedule hereto was reserved for a gravel-pit:
And whereas the said reserve is for one of the purposes com-
prised in Class I. of the Schedule to "The Public Reserves
Act, 1881," and, in the opinion of the Governor, it is expe-
dient to change the purpose of such reserve:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony
of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the
Executive Council of the said colony, and in exercise of the
powers and authorities vested in him by section four of
"The Public Reserves Act, 1881," and section two of "The
Public Reserves Act Amendment Act, 1889," doth hereby
order and direct that the purpose of the reserve mentioned
in the first column of the Schedule hereto shall be changed
from the purpose specified to that specified in the second
column of the Schedule hereto.

site: And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor, it is
expedient to exchange the said land for that mentioned in
the second column of the Schedule hereto:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Earl of Onslow, the
Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said
colony, and in exercise of the powers and authorities vested
in him by the fourth section of "The Public Reserves Act,
1881," and the third section of "The Public Reserves Act
Amendment Act, 1889," doth hereby declare that, from and
after the day of the date hereof, the said reserve mentioned
in the first column of the Schedule hereto shall be ex-
changed for the land mentioned in the second column of the
Schedule hereto.
