ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this tenth day of September, 1891.
Present:
His Excellency the Governor in Council.
IN exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in him by “The Public Domains Act, 1881,” His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council thereof, doth hereby revoke a certain Order in Council, dated the fifth day of January, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-seven, making delegation of certain powers in manner as therein appears; and doth, with the like advice and consent, by this present order, delegate, but only with respect to the piece or parcel of land described in the Schedule hereto, all the powers conferred by the Act aforesaid, except the powers under or conferred by sections five and twelve thereof, to the under-mentioned persons, who shall be known as the Winchester Recreation, Cricket, and other Sports Public Domain Board, namely,—
JOHN ALBERT YOUNG,
WILLIAM DE RENZIE,
JAMES PATERSON,
DANIEL LEONARD INWOOD, and
GEORGE CLIFF
(herein referred to as “the Board”), subject to the stipulations hereinafter contained, that is to say,—

The Board shall meet for the transaction of business on the first Monday in each month, at four o’clock p.m., at the Schoolhouse, Winchester, or at such other time or place as may from time to time be fixed by the Board. The first meeting shall be held on Monday, the second day of November, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-one.

Special meetings may be convened by the Chairman or by any two members of the Board, provided that two days’ notice of such meeting be given to each member, specifying the business to be transacted at such special meeting, and no other business than that so specified shall be transacted at such meeting.

Any three of the said Board shall form a quorum. Any meeting may be adjourned from time to time.

The members of the Board shall, at their first meeting, and thereafter at an annual meeting to be held on the first Monday in January in every succeeding year thereafter, elect one of themselves to be Chairman, who may join in the discussion, and shall have an original as well as a casting vote. The Chairman shall hold office until the election of his successor.

If at any meeting the Chairman is not present at the time appointed for holding the same, the members present shall choose some one of their number to be Chairman of such meeting.

ALL that piece or parcel of land in the Geraldine Survey District, Land District of Canterbury, containing 12 acres 1 rood, more or less, being Section No. 2449 (in red), and formerly part of Section No. 283 (in red). Bounded eastward by the Southern Railway Reserve; southward by a line, bearing 265° 20’ true, drawn from a point on the western boundary of the said reserve 4035 links north of the north-eastern corner of Section No. 2692; westward by the Main South Road; northward by a line parallel to the southern boundary and 1149 links distant therefrom; and north-eastward by a road-line.

Delegation of Powers under “The Public Domains Act, 1881.”

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this tenth day of September, 1891.
Present:
His Excellency the Governor in Council.
WHEREAS by the twelfth section of “The Public Domains Act, 1881,” it is enacted that the Governor in Council may from time to time delegate all or any of the powers by the said Act conferred upon any person for any period, and subject to such stipulations as may be specified in such order, and that every such delegation may from time to time in like manner be altered or revoked: And whereas by “The Lyttelton Public Domain Act, 1877,” all the land described in the Schedule to that Act is declared to be Crown land, and to be subject to the provisions of “The Public Domains Act, 1860:” And whereas his Excellency the Governor, by Order in Council made on the ninth day of July, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-nine, did delegate certain powers conferred by “The Public Domains Act, 1860,” to certain persons therein mentioned, subject to certain stipulations therein specified: And whereas it is expedient to revoke the said Order in Council, and to make another delegation in lieu thereof:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, doth, by this present order, revoke the delegation contained in the said Order in Council, and doth with the like advice and consent, by this present order, delegate, but only with respect to the parcels of land described in the Schedule to the said “Lyttelton Public Domain Act, 1877,” all the powers conferred by “The Public Domains Act, 1881,” except the powers under or conferred by sections five and twelve thereof, to
The Corporation of the Borough of Lyttelton,
which shall be known as the Lyttelton Domain Board (hereinafter referred to as “the Board”), subject to the stipulations hereinafter contained, that is to say,—

The Board shall meet for the transaction of business at such times and places as shall from time to time be fixed by the Board, and, until altered, meetings shall be held at the office of the Mayor of the Town of Lyttelton on the first Monday in each month, at half-past four p.m. The first meeting shall be held on Monday, the second day of November, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-one.

Special meetings may be convened by the Chairman or by any two members of the Board, provided that two days’ notice of such meeting be given to each member specifying the business to be transacted at such special meeting, and no other business than that so specified shall be transacted at such meeting.
