  1. The name of the company is to be the Frying-pan Gold-mining Company (Limited).

  2. The place of intended operations is at Frying-pan Creek, near Cronadun, in the County of Inangahua, Colony of New Zealand.

  3. The registered office of the company will be situated at Broadway, Reefton.

  4. The nominal capital of the company is seven thousand five hundred pounds, in thirty thousand shares of five shillings each.

  5. The number of shares subscribed for is thirty thousand, being the entire number of shares in the company.

  6. The number of paid-up shares is nil.

  7. The amount already paid up is nil.

  8. The name of the Manager is Patrick Brennan.

IN THE SUPREME COURT OF NEW ZEALAND, CANTERBURY DISTRICT.

In the matter of "The Companies Act, 1882," "The Companies Act 1882 Amendment Act, 1883," and "The Companies Act 1882 Amendment Act, 1890;" and in the matter of the Farmers' Union, Grain, Produce, and Finance Company (Limited).

NOTICE is hereby given that a petition for the winding-up of the above-named company by the Supreme Court was, on the 28th day of August, 1891, presented to Mr. Justice Denniston, a Judge of the Supreme Court, by Charles Henry Walter, of Marshland, Farmer; Charles Davis Lightband, of Christchurch, Merchant; John Dalwood, of Christchurch, Livery-stablekeeper; Harry Bliss, of Dallington, Farmer; and James Walter Prebble, of Prebbleton, Farmer, contributories of the said company.

And the said petition is directed to be heard before a Judge of the said Court on the 18th day of September, 1891, at 11 o'clock in the forenoon; and any creditor or contributory of the said company desirous to oppose the making of an order for the winding-up of the said company under the above Acts should appear at the time of hearing, by himself or his counsel, for that purpose; and a copy of the petition will be furnished to any creditor or contributory of the said company requiring the same, by the undersigned, on payment of the regulated charge for the same.

NOTICE OF SPECIAL RESOLUTION.

In the matter of "The Companies Act, 1882," and the several Acts amending the same, and in the matter of the Christchurch Finance Company (Limited).

NOTICE is hereby given that a general meeting of the shareholders in the above company was held at the company's office, 198, Hereford Street, in the City of Christchurch, on Monday, the 3rd day of August, 1891, when the following special resolution was passed unanimously:—

"That it is desirable to wind up the company's business, and that the company be voluntarily wound up."

The above resolution was confirmed at an extraordinary general meeting of the shareholders of the above company, held at the said office, on Tuesday, the 25th day of August, 1891. And notice is hereby further given that, at the said last-mentioned meeting, and after the said resolution had been duly passed and confirmed, a resolution was duly proposed and carried that I, the undersigned, John Lee Scott, of the City of Christchurch aforesaid, Engineer, should be appointed Liquidator of the said company, which appointment I have accepted.
