Sections 1 to 8, undulating fair land, covered generally with high tea-tree; the remainder are open and high tea-tree lands, with patches of mixed bush on each lot. These lands lie between the Wairoa and Arapaoa Rivers, and can only be said to be really accessible by water.

All these sections consist of about one-third mixed bush, the remainder being tea-tree, with a little rough grass scattered over the lots; the soil generally is rather inferior. Access is gained by water, the lands being adjacent to the Wairoa River.

The only access to these sections is through Crown land.
