Situated on Scrubby Hill Run, near the eastern bank of
the Waikawa River, and averaging ten miles from Waikawa
Harbour, and from one and a half to four miles from formed
road. Land partly open and partly bush-clad, and ranging
from undulating to steep; sections well watered; the bush
consists mostly of birch and red-pine, some of the sections
being partially clad with manuka; soil ranging from passable
to inferior.
