Also all that parcel of land in the Land District of Hawke's Bay, containing by admeasurement 17 acres 2 roods 31 perches, more or less, situated in the Waiapu Survey District, being a road, 100 links wide, traversing Native land for a distance of 17688 links in an easterly direction from the eastern boundary of Aruhe Mokopuna Block, at the termination of the road (containing 1 acre 3 roods 20 perches) hereinbefore described, to the sea: as the same is delineated on Plans Nos. 266B and 266c, deposited in the Survey Office, Gisborne.

Date of Governor's warrants, 21st February, 1889; 16th December, 1889.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable William Hillier, Earl of Onslow, of Onslow in the County of Salop; Viscount Cranley, of Cranley in the County of Surrey; Baron Onslow, of Onslow in the County of Salop, and of West Clandon in the County of Surrey; Baron Cranley, of Imbercourt; Baronet; Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George; Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty's Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral of the same; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-third day of July, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and ninety-one.

Proclaiming the Taking and Laying-off of a Road over Land in the Wellington Land District.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and in exercise of all powers and authorities enabling me in this behalf, I, William Hillier, Earl of Onslow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim that the road described in the Schedule hereto has been duly taken and laid off through the land specified, under warrant of the date given, in the said Schedule.


SCHEDULE.

ALL that parcel of land in the Mangawhero Survey District, containing by admeasurement 1 acre 3 roods 7 perches, more or less, being a road, 100 links wide, the centre line of which commences at a point on the south-eastern boundary-line of the Matawhitia Block 13978 links south and 17575 links east of Trig. Station Wharemata, which point is marked A on the plan hereinafter referred to; and proceeds in northerly and easterly directions over the said block to a point on its south-eastern boundary distant south 13450 links and east 18739 links from the aforesaid trig. station, which latter point is marked B on the plan hereinafter referred to.

Also all that parcel of land in the Mangawhero Survey District, containing by admeasurement 3 acres 2 roods 17 perches, more or less, being a road, 100 links wide, the centre line of which begins at a point on the south-eastern boundary-line of the Matawhitia Block distant south 11862 links and east 20380 links of the Wharemata Trig. Station, which point is marked C on the plan hereinafter referred to; and proceeds thence in north-westerly and easterly directions over the said block to a point distant south 10471 links and east 20210 links from same trig. station, which latter point is marked D on the plan hereinafter referred to.

As the same are delineated on the plan marked P.W. 552, deposited in the District Survey Office, Wellington.

Date of Governor's warrant, 23rd February, 1891.

ALL that parcel of land in the Kopuaranga Survey District, containing by admeasurement 23 acres 1 rood 14 perches, more or less, being a road, 100 links wide, the centre line of which commences at a point on the eastern boundary-line of the Mairi-iri-Kapua Block distant south 26746 links and west 7849 links from the Rangitumau Trig. Station, which point is marked A on the plan hereinafter referred to; and proceeds in a north-easterly direction over the Okurupeti Block to a point distant south 16306 links and east 10040 links from the said Rangitumau Trig. Station, which latter point is marked B on the plan hereinafter referred to: as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W. 558, deposited in the District Survey Office, Wellington.

Date of warrant, 5th May, 1885.

Lands taken for a Road in Pahiatua County.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the lands mentioned in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken, under “The Public Works Act, 1882,” and its amendments, for a certain work, to wit, the construction of a road in Pahiatua County:

And whereas the Pahiatua County Council has laid before the Governor the memorial, accompanied by a map, and also the statutory declaration, required by the said Act and the amendments thereof:

Now, therefore, I, William Hillier, Earl of Onslow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities in me vested by “The Public Works Act, 1882,” and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in that behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that, from and after the date of the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, the lands mentioned in the Schedule hereto are hereby taken for the purposes of the construction of the said road.
