Arrangements for First Elections, &c., Borough of Richmond.
Colonial Secretary's Office,
Wellington, 15th June, 1891.
HIS Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint
JAMES BLAIR,
of Richmond, to be Town Clerk of the Borough of Richmond, County of Waimea, as constituted under "The Municipal Corporations Act, 1886," and also to be the Returning Officer to conduct the first elections of Mayor and Councillors of the said borough; also to fix that the number of Councillors of the said borough shall be six; also to appoint Wednesday, the 15th day of July, 1891, to be the day for holding the first election of Mayor, and Wednesday, the 22nd day of July, 1891, to be the day for holding the first election of six Councillors, of the said borough; and also to appoint Tuesday, the 28th day of July, 1891, at 7.30 o'clock in the evening, to be the time, and the Richmond Town Board Office to be the place, at which the first meeting of the Richmond Borough Council shall be held.
