Arrangements for First Elections, &c., Borough of Sumner.

Colonial Secretary's Office,
Wellington, 23rd May, 1891.

HIS Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint

JAMES CRAWFORD,

of Sumner, Surveyor, to be Town Clerk of the Borough of Sumner, as constituted under "The Municipal Corporations Act, 1886," and to appoint

CLEMENT LESTER WIGGINS,

of Sumner, to be Returning Officer to conduct the first elections of Mayor and Councillors of the said borough; also to fix that the number of Councillors for the said borough shall be six; also to appoint Saturday, the 20th day of June, 1891, to be the day for holding the first election of six Councillors, and Saturday, the 27th day of June, 1891, to be the day for holding the first election of Mayor of the said borough; and also to appoint Tuesday, the 30th day of June, 1891, at 8 o'clock in the evening, to be the time, and the Sumner Town Board Office, Sumner, to be the place, at which the first meeting of the Sumner Borough Council shall be held.
