conferred by "The Sheep Act, 1890" (hereinafter termed "the said Act"), and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby order and declare that the Golden Bay Subdivision of the Nelson Sheep District, as defined under the said Act, shall be exempt from the operation of section sixty-seven of the said Act; and it is hereby declared that this Order in Council shall come into force upon the publication thereof in the New Zealand Gazette.

Altering Regulations for the Formation of Special Settlements.

THE HONOURABLE THE PREMIER PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by the one hundred and sixty-third section of "The Land Act, 1885," it is enacted that the Governor in Council may from time to time make, alter, and repeal regulations for fixing the terms and conditions upon which the lands in any special settlement shall be disposed of, and the mode of payment for the same:
And whereas it is desirable to alter the regulations which were made by Order in Council on the twenty-seventh day of February, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-one, under authority of the said Act, in relation to special settlements by farm-homestead associations:
Now, therefore, I, William Hillier, Earl of Onslow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred by the hereinbefore in part recited Act, and by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, do hereby alter the regulations made under the said recited Order in Council of the twenty-seventh day of February, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-one, as follows, that is to say,
In Regulation 1—
In place of the words "twenty-five," in the first line, the word "twelve" shall be inserted.
In Regulation 3—
In place of the figures "5,000 acres," in the second line, the figures "1,000 acres" shall be inserted.
In Regulation 7—
In place of the word "June" the word "January" shall be inserted.
And doth hereby declare that such alterations shall take effect on and after the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette.

Validating Election of Members of Waitara Harbour Board.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-sixth day of May, 1891.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS it is provided by the two hundred and thirty-third section of "The Harbours Act, 1878" (hereinafter termed "the said Act"), that in any case in which, by any misadventure or accident, anything is at any time done after the time required by the said Act, or is otherwise irregularly done in matter of form, the Governor may, by Order in Council duly gazetted, from time to time make provision for any such case, or may extend the time within which anything is required to be done, or may validate anything so done after the time required or so irregularly done in matter of form, so that the true intent and purpose of the said Act may have effect: And whereas on Monday, the sixteenth day of February, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-one, the Town Board of Raleigh elected two members, that is to say, John Elliot and Samuel Willard Nicholls, to be members of the Waitara Harbour Board: And whereas such election should have been held on Monday, the ninth day of February, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-one, that being the second Monday in the month of February, the day fixed by the said Act for the said election: And whereas it is expedient to validate the said election:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, and in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by the said Act, doth hereby validate the said election, and doth declare that John Elliot and Samuel Willard Nicholls, the persons elected on the said sixteenth day of February, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-one, by the Town Board of Raleigh as members of the Waitara Harbour Board, shall continue to hold office as members of the Waitara Harbour Board in the same manner as if the irregularities hereinbefore mentioned in connection with such election had not taken place.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS the Kaitangata Borough Council, being a leasing authority within the meaning of "The Public Bodies' Powers Act, 1887" (hereinafter termed "the said Act"), has requested that these presents should issue, and it appears expedient to make the order hereinafter contained:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers conferred upon him by the said Act, and by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby order and declare that the Kaitangata Borough Council shall, as from the date of publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, be subject to the provisions of the said Act.

IN exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by "The Agricultural and Pastoral Societies Act, 1877," His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby incorporate the members of the Winton Agricultural and Pastoral Association into a corporate body under the said Act, under the style and title of "The Winton Agricultural and Pastoral Association."

Altering Times of Meeting of the Land Board of the Land District of Nelson.
ONSWLOW, Governor.
WHEREAS by the first subsection of section forty-three of "The Land Act, 1885," it is provided that the Land Boards of the respective land districts shall sit at the land office in the principal town of the land district, at certain times to be determined by the Board and approved of by the Governor, and published in the New Zealand Gazette:
And whereas by a warrant under the hand of His Excellency the Governor, dated the twenty-third day of April, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-five, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the thirtieth day of April, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-five, it was appointed that the Land Board of Nelson should sit on the third Thursday in each month, at ten o'clock a.m.:
And whereas the Land Board of Nelson did, on the sixteenth day of April, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-one, pass a resolution recommending that the time of sitting should be altered, and it is expedient to give effect to the said recommendation:
Now, therefore, I, William Hillier, Earl of Onslow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise of the power and authority vested in me in that behalf, do hereby fix and determine that the ordinary meetings of the Land Board of the Land District of Nelson shall be held on the first Thursday in every month at ten o'clock a.m., commencing on Thursday, the fourth day of June, one thousand
