Land Transfer Act Notices.

A PPLICATION having been made to me for the issue of a provisional certificate of title for Lots 52, 53, 54, and 55 of the subdivision of Allotments 511 and others, Section 2, Town of Tauranga, described in Vol. xxxi., folio 162, and evidence given as to the loss of the original certificate, I give notice that I will issue the certificate as requested, unless caveat be lodged forbidding the same on or before the 7th day of May, 1891.

OPAHEKE ROAD DISTRICT.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LANDS FOR A ROAD.

N OTICE is hereby given that it is proposed by the Opaheke Road Board, under the provisions of “The Public Works Act, 1882,” to execute a certain work, to wit, the construction of a road in the Parish of Opaheke, County of Manukau; and for the purpose of such public work the lands described in the Schedule hereunder are required to be taken. And notice is further given that copies of plans of the said road and of the lands so required to be taken are deposited, and are there open for inspection.

And notice is hereby given that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said lands shall, if they have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of such lands, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Chairman, Opaheke Road Board, Opaheke Post-office.

LOWER MAHURANGI ROAD DISTRICT.

N OTICE is hereby given that, under the provisions of “The Public Works Act, 1882,” it is the intention of the Lower Mahurangi Road Board to take land for a public road, one chain wide, through the following properties, namely, parts of Lot 79, Parish of Mahurangi, of the approximate areas respectively of 1 acre 1 rood, 2 acres 1 rood 13 perches, and 4 acres 2 roods 20 perches.

Plans of the same lie open for inspection at my residence.

The works proposed to be executed are clearing, forming, and bridging.

All persons affected are hereby called upon to set forth in writing any well-grounded objection to the execution of such works or to the taking of such lands, and to send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to me,

In the matter of “The Companies Act, 1882,” and in the matter of the Waitahuna Quartz-mining Company (Limited).

N OTICE is hereby given that a petition for the winding-up of the above-named company by the Supreme Court was, on the 17th day of April, 1891, presented to His Honour Mr. Justice Williams, a Judge of the Supreme Court, by Robert Webb, of Waipori, Builder, and David McIntosh, of Lawrence, Contractor, two creditors of the said company; and the said petition is directed to be heard before a Judge of the said Court on Wednesday, the 13th day of May, 1891; and any creditor or contributory of the said company desirous to oppose the making of an order for the winding-up of the said company under the above Act should appear at the time of hearing, by himself or his counsel, for that purpose; and a copy of the petition will be furnished to any creditor or contributory of the said company requiring the same, by the undersigned, on payment of the regulated charge for the same.

N OTICE is hereby given that, in pursuance of section 202 of “The Companies Act, 1882,” a General Meeting of the members of the above-named company will be held at Chick’s Hotel, Port Chalmers, on Friday, the 26th day of June, 1891, at the hour of 7 o’clock in the evening, for the purpose of having an account laid before them showing the manner in which the winding-up has been conducted and the property of the company disposed of, and of hearing any explanation that may be given by the Liquidators; and also of determining, by extraordinary resolution, the manner in which the books, accounts, and documents of the company and of the Liquidators thereof shall be disposed of.
