NATIVE LAND COURT, NEW ZEALAND.
WHEREAS by an Order in Council made the 14th day of October, 1890, after reciting that the land set out in the Schedule hereto had been conveyed in or about the year 1862 to Her Majesty for the purposes of a school-site, and that the said piece of land had not been used for the purpose and is not now required, and that it is expedient that it should be granted to such persons of the Native race as may be found by the Native Land Court to be entitled thereto, His Excellency the Governor, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by “The Native Land Court Act, 1886,” and “The Native Land Court Acts Amendment Act, 1889,” and acting by and with the consent of the Executive Council of New Zealand, did order and declare that the Native Land Court shall have jurisdiction to inquire and determine to what persons and to what relative proportions the said piece of land ought to be conveyed, and to make such order in that behalf as the nature of the case may require :
Notice is hereby given that, in exercise of the jurisdiction conferred by the said recited order, and of every other authority in that behalf, the Court will, at a sitting to be opened at Waiomatatini, on the 28th day of May, 1891, proceed to inquire into and make order upon the several matters brought within its jurisdiction as aforesaid, so far as concerns the land specified in the said schedule to the said order and in the Schedule hereto.
