MIDHIRST DAIRY FACTORY COMPANY (LIMITED), IN LIQUIDATION.
NOTICE is hereby given that a general meeting of the company will be held on Saturday, the 13th of June, 1891, at 7 p.m., in the Town Hall, Midhirst, for the purpose of showing an account of how the property of the company has been disposed, and to give any explanation required. A first and final dividend will be paid at the same time and place.

In the matter of the Civil Service Co-operative Stores Company (Limited).
AT an extraordinary general meeting of the members of the above-named company, duly convened and held at the Corn Exchange, Christchurch, on Monday, the 6th day of April instant, the following extraordinary resolution was duly passed :—
“That it has been proved to the satisfaction of this meeting that the company cannot, by reason of its liabilities, continue its business, and that it is advisable to wind up the same, and accordingly that the company be wound up voluntarily.”
And at the same meeting GEORGE SWANN, of Christchurch, Solicitor, and WILLIAM INGRAM BALLINGER, of the same place, Contractor, were appointed Liquidators for the purpose of winding-up.

In the matter of “The Foreign Companies Act, 1884.”
NOTICE is hereby given that the Picturesque Atlas Publishing Company (Limited), being a company incorporated in the Colony of New South Wales, has appointed No. 4, Exchange Court, Princes Street, Dunedin, as its office or place of business for the purposes of section 7 of the above-mentioned Act.

In the matter of the Timaru Tannery and Boot Factory Company (Limited).
AT an extraordinary general meeting of the members of the above-named company, duly convened and held at the office of the company, Stafford Street, Timaru, on Tuesday, the 31st day of March, 1891, at half-past three o’clock in the afternoon, the following extraordinary resolution was duly passed : “That it has been proved to the satisfaction of this meeting that the company cannot, by reason of its liabilities, continue its business, and that it is advisable to wind up the same, and accordingly that the company be wound up voluntarily.”
And at the same meeting a further resolution was duly passed, that is to say: “That Messieurs Edmund Tipping and John William Smith Ziesler, both of Timaru, be, and they are hereby appointed, Liquidators for the purposes of winding-up the company in pursuance of the resolution already passed at this meeting, and that the remuneration of the said Liquidators for their services in the winding-up be, and it is hereby fixed at, £60.”

NOTICE UNDER “THE PUBLIC WORKS ACT, 1882,” PART II., SECTION 10.
THE Raglan County Council propose to take, for the purpose of making a public road, certain lands on Section No. 162, Parish of Karamu, and Section No. 149, Parish of Pirongia, near the Kaniwhaniwha Creek.
Any persons affected by the taking of these lands are hereby required to set forth in writing any well-grounded objections to the said taking or to the proposed work, and to send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Chairman of the Raglan County Council, Raglan.
Plans of the land proposed to be taken will be on view to all persons, at all reasonable hours, at the office of the Pirongia Road Board.

THE Newcastle Road Board propose to take, for the purpose of making a public road, certain land on Section No. 25, Parish of Horotiu, and on Section No. 222, Parish of Pukete, at the mouth of the Ohote Creek.
Any person affected by the taking of these lands are hereby required to set forth in writing any well-grounded objections to the said taking or to the proposed work, and to send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Chairman of the Newcastle Road Board, Whatawhata.
Plans of the land proposed to be taken will be on view to all persons, at all reasonable hours, at the office of the Newcastle Road Board, i.e., the residence of Mr. P. Corboy, Ohote.

In the matter of a Bill intituled “An Act to authorise the New Zealand Electrical Syndicate (Limited) to break up or cross over Streets Roads Rivers and Bridges and to place Mains Service-lines and Distributing-mains either above or below Ground and to lay down and place Pipes Conduits and Service-pipes and to erect Pillars Arches or Poles and to make construct and do other Works and Things for supplying the City of Christchurch and Suburbs with Electrical Energy.”
NOTICE is hereby given that application is intended to be made at the next session of the General Assembly of New Zealand for leave to bring in a Bill to authorise the New Zealand Electrical Syndicate (Limited) hereinafter referred to as “the Company” to break up or cross over streets roads rivers and bridges and to place mains service-lines and distributing-mains either above or below ground and to lay down and place pipes conduits and service-pipes and to erect pillars arches or poles and to make and construct other works for supplying the City of Christchurch and suburbs with electrical energy and for other purposes relating thereto and to the objects for which the said Company has been established.
Copies of the Bill will be deposited at the office of the Examiner of Standing Orders on or before the commencement of the session and may also be had upon application to Messrs. Chapman FitzGerald and Tripp Solicitors Wellington Agents for the Bill or from the undersigned.
It is intended to apply for the following powers on behalf of the Company that is to say
