Sheep District of Auckland reconstituted, and Sheep Districts of Miranda and Waikawau abolished. — Notice No. 312.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS it is expedient that the Auckland Sheep District and the Miranda and Waikawau Sheep Districts, as at present constituted, should be altered and reconstituted:

Now, therefore, I, William Hillier, Earl of Onslow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the sixth section of “The Sheep Act, 1890,” and of all other powers enabling me in this behalf, do hereby constitute anew the Auckland Sheep District, and the subdivisions thereof respectively; and I do hereby proclaim and declare that, for the purposes of the said Act, the Auckland Sheep District and the subdivisions thereof shall hereafter be as the same are described in the Schedule hereto, including in such district or subdivisions all boroughs within the territorial area comprised within the external boundaries of such district or subdivisions as defined in the said Schedule, although such boroughs do not actually form part of any county therein mentioned; and I do further proclaim and declare that such district and subdivisions shall be known by the names set over such district and subdivisions respectively in the said Schedule.

SCHEDULE.

AUCKLAND SHEEP DISTRICT.

ALL that area in the Provincial Districts of Auckland and Wellington bounded towards the north-east generally by the ocean, from North Cape to Cape Runaway; thence towards the south-east generally by the Counties of Cook and Wairoa to the main road from Taupo to Napier; thence towards the south-west generally by that road to the Waikato River; thence by the said Waikato River to Taupo Moana; thence by Taupo Moana and the Counties of East Taupo, Wanganui, and Clifton to the ocean; and towards the west, again towards the south-west, and towards the north by the ocean: together with all adjacent islands.

Bay of Islands Subdivision.

Bounded towards the north-east by the ocean; towards the south-east by the Counties of Whangarei and Hobson; and towards the south-west and north by the ocean: together with the adjacent islands.

Marsden Subdivision.

Bounded towards the north-east by the ocean; towards the south by the County of Waitemata; towards the south-west by the ocean; and towards the north-west by the Bay of Islands Subdivision, hereinbefore described: together with the Islands of Turanga (Hen and Chickens), Great Barrier, Little Barrier, Kawau, Moturake, and Motuhora, and islands adjacent thereto.

Auckland Subdivision.

Bounded towards the north-east and west by the Hauraki Gulf, from the southern boundary of the County of Rodney to Cape Colville; thence towards the north and east by the ocean; towards the south-east and south by the Counties of Tauranga and Piako; towards the south-west by the County of Waikato; again towards the south-east by the Counties of Waikato and Raglan; and again towards the south-west by the ocean; and again towards the north by the Marsden Subdivision, hereinbefore described: together with the islands of Tiritiri, Rakino, Motutapu, Motuihe, Waiheke, Ponui, Pahiki, McIntosh, Beeson, Cuvier, Mercury, and Slipper, and islands adjacent thereto.

Waikato Subdivision.

Bounded towards the north-west, north-east, and north by the Auckland Subdivision, hereinbefore described; again towards the north-east by the County of Tauranga; towards the south-east by the County of Rotorua; towards the south-west generally by the Counties of West Taupo and Kawhia; and towards the west by the ocean.

Bay of Plenty Subdivision.

Bounded towards the north-east and north-west by the Bay of Plenty; towards the south-east by the Counties of Cook and Wairoa to the main road from Taupo to Napier; thence by that road to the Waikato River; thence by the said Waikato River to Taupo Moana; and thence by Taupo Moana to the County of West Taupo; towards the west by the said County of West Taupo, and the Waikato Subdivision, hereinbefore described; and towards the north-west by the Auckland Subdivision, hereinbefore described: together with the islands of Matakana and Motiti, and islands adjacent thereto.

Taupo Subdivision.

Bounded towards the north-east by the Waikato Subdivision, hereinbefore described; towards the south-east by the Bay of Plenty Subdivision, hereinbefore described, and the County of East Taupo; towards the south-west generally by the Counties of Wanganui and Clifton; and towards the west by the ocean.
