Powers delegated to the Alford Forest Domain Board under
"The Public Domains Act, 1881."

ONSLOW, Governor.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this sixteenth
day of December, 1890.

Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

IN exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities
vested in him by "The Public Domains Act, 1881," His
Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by
and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council
thereof, doth hereby revoke a certain Order in Council, dated
the twenty-seventh day of February, one thousand eight
hundred and eighty-eight, making delegation of certain
powers in manner as therein appears; and doth, with the
like advice and consent, by this present order, delegate, but
only with respect to the piece or parcel of land described
in the Schedule hereto, all the powers conferred by the Act
aforesaid, except the powers under or conferred by sections
five and twelve thereof, to the under-mentioned persons,
who shall be known as the Alford Forest Public Domain
Board, namely,—

JAMES ROSS,
CHARLES MORRISON,
GEORGE GOLDSMITH,
DAVID SYME, and
EDWARD BINION COOPER

(herein referred to as "the Board"), subject to the stipula-
tions hereinafter contained, that is to say,—

  1. The Board shall meet for the transaction of business on
    the third Monday in each month, at four o'clock p.m., at
    the Mount Somers Road Board Office, or at such other time
    or place as may from time to time be fixed by the Board.
    The first meeting shall be held on Monday, the nineteenth
    day of January, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-
    one.

  2. Special meetings may be convened by the Chairman or
    by any two members of the Board, provided that two days'
    notice of such meeting be given to each member, specifying
    the business to be transacted at such special meeting; and
    no other business than that so specified shall be transacted
    at such meeting.

  3. Any three of the said Board shall form a quorum. Any
    meeting may be adjourned from time to time.

  4. The members of the Board shall, at their first meeting,
    and thereafter at an annual meeting to be held on the
    third Monday in January in every succeeding year there-
    after, elect one of themselves to be Chairman, who may join
    in the discussion, and shall have an original as well as a
    casting vote. The Chairman shall hold office until the elec-
    tion of his successor.

  5. If at any meeting the Chairman is not present at the
    time appointed for holding the same, the members present
    shall choose some one of their number to be Chairman of
    such meeting.

  6. If, by resignation, death, or incapacity, or otherwise, the
    office of Chairman shall be or become vacant, the members
    may at any monthly or special meeting appoint a Chairman.

  7. All questions shall be determined by the majority of
    votes of the members of the Board present at a meeting.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that parcel of land in the Land District of Canterbury,
containing by admeasurement 14 acres more or less, being
Section No. 2738 (in red), situate in the Spaxton Survey
District. Bounded towards the north by Reserve No. 2737
(in red), 230 links; towards the east by said reserve 372
links, also by a road-line 641 links; towards the north-west
by a road-line, 1539 links; towards the south-west by a
water-race reserve, 25 links wide, 1107 links; and towards
the south-east by a line bearing 62° 43', 1017 links: be all
the aforesaid linkages more or less; as the same is delineated
on the plan deposited in the District Survey Office, Christ-
church.

Napier Harbour Board subject to the Provisions of "The
Public Bodies' Powers Act, 1887."

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this sixteenth
day of December, 1890.

Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS the Napier Harbour Board, being a leasing
authority within the meaning of "The Public
Bodies' Powers Act, 1887" (hereinafter termed "the said
Act"), has requested that these presents should issue, and
it appears expedient to make the order hereinafter con-
tained:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony
of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent
of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby
order and declare that the Napier Harbour Board shall, as
from the date of the publication hereof in the New Zealand
Gazette, be subject to the provisions of the said Act.

Changing the Purpose of a Reserve in Southland.

ONSLOW, Governor.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this sixteenth
day of December, 1890.

Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS the land mentioned in the first column of
the Schedule hereto was reserved for a cemetery:
And whereas the said reserve is for one of the purposes com-
prised in Class I. of the Schedule to "The Public Reserves
Act, 1881," and, in the opinion of the Governor, it is expe-
dient to change the purpose of such reserve:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony
of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the
Executive Council of the said colony, and in exercise of the
powers and authorities vested in him by "The Public Re-
serves Act, 1881," doth hereby order and direct that the
purpose of the reserve mentioned in the first column of the
Schedule hereto shall be changed from the purpose specified
to that specified in the second column of the Schedule
hereto

SCHEDULE.

Description and Purpose of Reserve. Intended Purpose.
All that piece or parcel of land in the Land District of Southland, containing by admeasurement 3 acres 2 roods 24 perches, more or less, being Section No. 30 on the map of the Longbush Township. Bounded towards the north by a public road, 676 links; on the east by Section No. 29 of said township, 349 links; towards the south-east by the south-east boundary of the said township, 700 links; and on the west by Section No. 31 of the said township, 775 links: be all the aforesaid link-ages more or less; as the same is delineated on the map in the Survey Office, Invercargill. Reserved for a cemetery. For a plantation reserve.

Rural Lands in the Auckland Land District open for Sale or Selection.

ONSLOW, Governor.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
conferred upon me by the third section of "The Land
Act Amendment Act, 1887" (hereinafter termed "the said
Act"), I, William Hillier, Earl of Onslow, the Governor of
the Colony of New Zealand, having received the report of
the Surveyor-General in this behalf, as in the said section is
provided, do hereby declare that the rural lands enumerated
in the Schedule hereto shall be open for sale or selection,
after the lapse of a period of not less than forty-five days
from the date of the first public notification hereof, in the
manner and upon the conditions mentioned in the said Act,
and at the price per acre stated in the said Schedule.

SCHEDULE.

UNSURVEYED SECOND-CLASS LAND.
Manukau County.

ALL that parcel of land in the Auckland Land District,
situate in the Parish of Otan, and containing approximately
12,700 acres. Bounded towards the north by the confisca-
tion boundary; towards the east generally by the confisca-
tion boundary to a point due east of the north-eastern angle
of Section No. 54 of the Parish of Otan; thence towards the
south generally by a right line to that angle, by said Section
No. 54 and Sections Nos. 5, 6, and 7 of the same parish, by
