Proclaiming the Taking and Laying-off of a Road over Land in the Wellington Land District.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and in exercise of all powers and authorities enabling me in this behalf, I, William Hillier, Earl of Onslow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim that the road described in the Schedule hereto has been duly taken and laid off through the land specified, under warrant of the date given, in the said Schedule.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area situate in Block XI., Mangawhero Survey District, containing by admeasurement 12 acres, more or less, being a road, 100 links wide, the centre line of which commences at a point on the eastern side of the Wangaehu Road, bearing N. 20° 58' E., and distant 190·5 links from peg No. 1; and proceeds thence in a north-easterly direction over the Mangamahu Block for a distance of 12011 links, more or less, to a point on the north-eastern boundary of that block marked B on the plan hereinafter referred to: as the said road is more particularly delineated on the plan marked Survey Office 4742-15, deposited in the Survey Office, Wellington.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable William Hillier, Earl of Onslow, of Onslow in the County of Salop; Viscount Cranley, of Cranley in the County of Surrey; Baron Onslow, of Onslow in the County of Salop, and of West Clandon in the County of Surrey; Baron Cranley, of Imbercourt; Baronet; Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George; Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral of the same; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-sixth day of November, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and ninety.

Extension of Time for holding Annual Meeting of Wairarapa South County Council.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this tenth day of December, 1890.
Present:
THE HONOURABLE THE PREMIER PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS it has been made to appear that a quorum was not present at the time appointed by “The Counties Act, 1886,” for holding the annual meeting of the Council of the County of Wairarapa South, and such meeting was thereupon postponed until the following day; and whereas the said postponed meeting lapsed for want of a quorum, and was not adjourned, and it is expedient to extend the time for holding the said annual meeting :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance of the powers vested in him by the said “Counties Act, 1886,” and by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby extend the time appointed for holding the annual meeting of the Council of the County of Wairarapa South from noon of Wednesday, the twenty-sixth day of November, one thousand eight hundred and ninety, to noon of Saturday, the thirteenth day of December, one thousand eight hundred and ninety.

Rural Lands in the Southland Land District open for Sale or Selection.
ONSLow, Governor.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the third section of “The Land Act Amendment Act, 1887” (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), I, William Hillier, Earl of Onslow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, having received the report of the Surveyor-General in this behalf, as in the said section is provided, do hereby declare that the rural lands enumerated in the Schedule hereto shall be open for sale or selection, after the lapse of a period of not less than forty-five days from the date of the first public notification hereof, in the manner and upon the conditions mentioned in the said Act, and at the price per acre stated in the said Schedule.
ERRATA.—In New Zealand Gazette No. 69, of the 4th December, 1890, page 1376, appointment of Deputy Assignee, Gisborne, for “14th instant” read “14th November, 1890;” and in notification of Resident Magistrate appointed, for “1st instant” read “1st November, 1890.”
