Additional By-law for New Zealand Railways.

THE New Zealand Railway Commissioners, in exercise and pursuance of the powers conferred by “The Government Railways Act, 1887,” do hereby make the following by-law (in addition to by-laws published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 89, of the 26th October, 1882), that is to say:—

BY-LAW.

No person shall cause or allow any animal to trespass on any railway open for traffic, or upon any part thereof.
Every person who shall commit a breach of the provisions of this by-law shall, upon conviction, be liable to a penalty not exceeding £10.
This by-law shall apply generally to all railways open for traffic, and now or hereafter vested in the said Commissioners under or by virtue of the said Act.

Alterations and Additions to the Scale of Fares, Rates, and Charges in force upon the New Zealand Railways.

THE New Zealand Railway Commissioners, in exercise and pursuance of the powers conferred by “The Government Railways Act, 1887,” do hereby make the following alteration in and addition to the scale of fares, rates, and charges on the New Zealand railways, to come into force on and after the 8th December, 1890;—

PART IV.—LOCAL RATES.
WELLINGTON SECTION.

Tallow, Petone to Wellington, in 5-ton lots, will be charged 3s. a ton.

Tenders for Weekly Mail Steam Service between Wanganui and Pipiriki.

General Post Office,
Wellington, 15th November, 1890.

SEALED tenders will be received at this office until noon of Saturday, the 13th December proximo, for the conveyance of mails by steamer, once a week each way, between Wanganui and Pipiriki and wayside places, for a period of four years, commencing at the expiration of twelve months from date of acceptance of tender.

Specification and conditions of contract, &c., may be seen at this office, and at the Chief Post Office, Wanganui.
The lowest or any tender will not necessarily be accepted.
