Result of Poll for Proposed Loan, EketaHuna Road District, County of Wairarapa North.

THE following notice, received from the Chairman of the EketaHuna Road Board, is published in accordance with “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1886.”

EKETAHUNA ROAD DISTRICT.
RESULT of a poll taken at EketaHuna on the 8th November, 1890, on a proposal to raise a loan of £1,000, under “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1886,” for formation in the Wellington No. 2 Special-settlement Block:—
Number of ratepayers on special roll 22, representing 22 votes; number of ratepayers who voted in favour of the proposal 14, representing 14 votes; against, none; number of ratepayers who did not vote 8, representing 8 votes.
As the number of ratepayers who voted and the number of votes recorded in favour of the proposal were in each case a majority, I declare the proposal carried.

Appointment of Examination Shed.
CUSTOMS.—In exercise of the powers in me for this purpose vested by “The Customs Laws Consolidation Act, 1882,” I, the Commissioner of Trade and Customs, do hereby appoint the under-mentioned building to be a place where goods may be deposited for examination on the landing thereof, namely,—
A building [constructed of iron and roofed with iron, being a railway-shed, situated on the railway reserve at SYDENHAM,
between Carlyle Street, Sydenham, and South Town Belt, Christchurch, eastward of Colombo Road, Sydenham.

Land taken for a Further Portion of the Kawakawa Railway.
A NOTIFICATION.
WHEREAS the lands mentioned in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken for a further portion of the Kawakawa Railway, which is a railway vested in the New Zealand Railway Commissioners, under the provisions of “The Government Railways Act, 1887:”
And whereas all conditions precedent required by law to be observed and performed prior to the taking of such lands in the manner hereby provided have been observed and performed:
Now, therefore, we, the New Zealand Railway Commissioners, in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on us by “The Government Railways Act, 1887,” and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling us in that behalf, do hereby notify and declare that the lands mentioned in the Schedule hereto are taken for a further portion of the said line of railway hereinbefore specified.
