the Mataura River; towards the south by a line along the middle of Mersey Street to the middle of the main road from Gore to Mataura Bridge; thence towards the north-west by a line along the middle of the said main road to a point in line with a line along the middle of Irk Street; thence again towards the south by a line to and thence by the said line along the middle of Irk Street, and by the latter line produced to the middle of Ardwick Street; thence towards the west by a line along the middle of the said Ardwick Street to a point in line with another line proceeding along the middle of Devon Street; thence again towards the south by a line to and thence by the last-mentioned line along the middle of Devon Street, and that line produced across Broughton Street to Section No. 313, Hokonui Survey District; and thence towards the west by the said Section No. 313 and Sections Nos. 137 and 135 of the said Hokonui Survey District.
South Ward.—Bounded towards the north generally by the North Ward, hereinbefore described; towards the east by the Mataura River; towards the south by Section No. 59, Hokonui Survey District, and Section No. 136 of the said survey district; and towards the West by Sections Nos. 58 and 313, Hokonui Survey District.
East Ward.—Bounded towards the north by Sections Nos. 13B, 1 (P.R.), 13c, 9, and 17 respectively, all of Block I., Waikaka Survey District, from the south-western corner of the said Section No. 13B to a point due north of the easternmost corner of Section No. 16, Block XXV., Town of East Gore; thence towards the east by a line due south to the Waikaka River; thence towards the south-east generally by the said Waikaka River to its confluence with the Mataura River; thence by a right line to the right bank of the said Mataura River, at a point in line with the south side of Bury Street, in the Town of Gore; thence towards the west by the South Ward and North Ward respectively, hereinbefore described, and by the Mataura River to a point in line with the southern boundary-line of Section No. 13B, Block I., Waikaka Survey District; and thence again towards the north by a right line to the south-western corner of that section.
