A PROCLAMATION.
I
N pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in me by section twenty-two of “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1886,” I, William Hillier, Earl of Onslow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the Town District of Gordon, together with all the area of land intervening between the boundary thereof and the nearest boundary of the Borough of Gore, is hereby annexed to the said borough and shall form part thereof.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable William Hillier, Earl of Onslow, of Onslow in the County of Salop; Viscount Cranley, of Cranley in the County of Surrey; Baron Onslow, of Onslow in the County of Salop, and of West Clandon in the County of Surrey; Baron Cranley, of Imbercourt; Baronet; Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George; Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty's Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral of the same; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington, this eighth day of November, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and ninety.

A PROCLAMATION.

HEREAS by a Proclamation dated the eighth day of November, one thousand eight hundred and ninety, and made under section twenty-two of “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1886,” the Town District of Gordon, together with all the area of land intervening between the boundary thereof and the nearest boundary of the Borough of Gore, was annexed to the said borough: And
whereas it is expedient to redefine the boundaries of the said Borough of Gore, and divide the said borough into wards as provided by the aforesaid section of the above-recited Act:
Now, therefore, I, William Hillier, Earl of Onslow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the aforesaid section twenty-two of “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1886,” do hereby proclaim and declare that the boundaries of the Borough of Gore shall henceforth be those described in the First Schedule hereto; and I do further proclaim and declare that the said Borough of Gore shall be divided into three wards, with the boundaries described in the Second Schedule hereto.
FIRST SCHEDULE.
Boundaries of Borough of Gore redefined.
ALL that area in the Provincial District of Otago bounded towards the north by Sections Nos. 13B, 1 (P.R.), 13c, 9, and 17 respectively, all of Block I., Waikaka Survey District, from the south-western corner of the said Section No. 13B to a point due north of the easternmost corner of Section No. 16, Block XXV., Town of East Gore; thence towards the east by a line due south to the Waikaka River; thence towards the south-east generally by the said Waikaka River to its confluence with the Mataura River; thence by a right line to the right bank of the said Mataura River, at a point in line with the south side of Bury Street, in the Town of Gore; thence by the Mataura River to Section No. 59, Hokonui Survey District; thence towards the south by the said Section No. 59 and Section No. 136 of the said Hokonui Survey District; towards the west by Sections Nos. 58, 313, 137, and 135 respectively of the said Hokonui Survey District; towards the north by the last-mentioned section and Section No. 306 of the said Hokonui Survey District, and by the production of the southern boundary-line of the said Section No. 306 to the left bank of the Mataura River; thence again towards the west by the said Mataura River to a point in line with the southern boundary-line of Section No. 13B, Block I., Waikaka Survey District; and thence again towards the north by a right line to the south-western corner of that section, the place of commencement.
