All that parcel of land in the Land District of Hawke's Bay, containing by admeasurement 4 acres 3 roods 22 perches, more or less, situated in the Mangaporo Survey District, being a road, 100 links wide and upwards, the western side of which commences on the south-eastern boundary-line of the Rotokautuku No. 5 Block, at the termination of the road, hereinbefore described (containing 12 acres and 16 perches), through the Rotokautuku No. 1 Block; and proceeds in a north-westerly direction, traversing the Rotokautuku No. 5 Block, for a distance of 4791 links, more or less, to a point on the south-western boundary-line of the last-mentioned block 69·2 links south-east of survey-peg No. 50: as the same is more particularly delineated on Map No. 242D, deposited in the Survey Office, Gisborne.
All that parcel of land in the Land District of Hawke's Bay, containing by admeasurement 1 rood and 29 perches, more or less, situated in the Mangaporo Survey District, being a road, 100 links wide, the southern side of which commences on the south-eastern boundary-line of the Rotokautuku No. 5 Block, at the termination of the road, hereinbefore described (containing 4 acres and 33 perches), through the Rotokautuku No. 1 Block; and proceeds in a north-westerly direction, traversing the Rotokautuku No. 5 Block, for a distance of 291 links, more or less, to the road hereinbefore described (containing 4 acres 3 roods 22 perches): as the same is more particularly delineated on Map No. 242D, deposited in the Survey Office, Gisborne.
All that parcel of land in the Land District of Hawke's Bay, containing by admeasurement 3 acres and 38 perches, more or less, situated in the Mangaporo Survey District, being a road, 100 links wide, the western side of which commences on the northern side of the road, hereinbefore described, through the Rotokautuku No. 5 Block, at a point 999·6 links south-east of the south-western boundary-line of the said block; and proceeds in a northerly direction, traversing the said Rotokautuku No. 5 Block, for a distance of 3216 links, more or less, to a point 50 links north-west of survey-peg No. 72, on the right bank of the Mangaoporo River: as the same is more particularly delineated on Map No. 242D, deposited in the Survey Office, Gisborne.
All that parcel of land in the Land District of Hawke's Bay, containing by admeasurement 10 acres 1 rood 4 perches, more or less, situated in the Mangaporo Survey District, being a road, 100 links wide, the centre line of which commences at survey-peg No. 50, on the south-western boundary-line of the Rotokautuku No. 5 Block; and proceeds in a north-westerly direction, traversing the Rotokautuku No. 1 Block, for a distance of 10281 links, more or less, to survey-peg No. 70, on the north-western boundary-line of the said Rotokautuku No. 1 Block: as the same is more particularly delineated on Map No. 242E, deposited in the Survey Office, Gisborne.

All that parcel of land in the Land District of Hawke's Bay, containing by admeasurement 3 acres 2 roods, more or less, situated in the Waingaromia Survey District, being part of the Waingaromia No. 1 Block. Bounded towards the north-west generally by a road, for a distance of 2393·9 links, from a point on the north-western boundary-line of the Waingaromia No. 3A Block 761·3 links from the northernmost corner of that block; thence towards the east by a line, bearing S. 5° 10′ E., 681·2 links, to the Waingaromia No. 3 Block; and thence towards the south-east by the said Waingaromia No. 3 Block and the Waingaromia No. 3A Block to the starting-point, 1561·3 links: as the same is more particularly delineated on Map No. 254, deposited in the Survey Office, Gisborne.

All that parcel of land in the Land District of Hawke's Bay, containing by admeasurement 2 roods 20 perches, more or less, situated in the Waingaromia Survey District, being portion of the Waingaromia No. 3A Block. Bounded towards the south-east and south-west by the Motumate Stream and the Waihora River respectively; and towards the north-east by a right line bearing S. 62° 16′ E., 450 links: as the same is more particularly delineated on Map No. 256, deposited in the Survey Office, Gisborne.
All that parcel of land in the Land District of Hawke's Bay, containing by admeasurement 1 acre 2 roods 20 perches, more or less, situated in the Waingaromia Survey District, being portion of the Waingaromia No. 3A Block. Bounded towards the north-west by a line bearing N. 76° 53′ E. from the Waihora River to a point on traverse line xviii.-xix. 1060·2 links distant from the survey-peg numbered xix., 1220 links; thence towards the south-east by a road to the Waihora River; thence by the said Waihora River to a road; thence towards the south-west by the last-mentioned road; and towards the west by the said Waihora River: as the same is more particularly delineated on Map No. 256, deposited in the Survey Office, Gisborne.
All that parcel of land in the Land District of Hawke's Bay, containing by admeasurement 3 acres 2 roods, more or less, situated in the Waingaromia Survey District, being portion of the Waihora No. 2A Block. Bounded towards the south-west, the north-west, and the north-east by the Waihora River; again towards the south-west by lines, 350 and 113·4 links; thence towards the south-east by a right line, 1192·5 links; and again towards the north-east by a right line, 280 links, to the Waihora River aforesaid: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less; as the same is more particularly delineated on Map No. 256, deposited in the Survey Office, Gisborne.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in me by the two hundred and sixty-seventh section of “The Counties Act, 1886,” and at the request of the Ashburton County Council, I, William Hillier, Earl of Onslow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare the lands described in the Schedule hereto to be water-races, as defined by the two hundred and sixty-sixth section of the said Act, to be known by the name of the Orari-Waihi Water-races; and, further, that the River Orari, in the County of Geraldine, shall be the stream which may be taken for supplying the said water-races.
SCHEDULE.
ORARI-WAIHI WATER-RACES.
RACE No. 1.
ALL that area, 12½ links in width, situate in the Orari Survey District, County of Geraldine, commencing at or near the westernmost corner of Rural Section 22006, and proceeding in a south-easterly direction, intersecting the said Section 22006, to the road forming the south-east boundary of the said Section 22006; thence across that road, and intersecting Rural Section 23521 and the Crown land lying between that section and the Orari River, to the Orari River.
RACE No. 2.
All that area, 12½ links in width, situate in the Orari and Geraldine Survey Districts, County of Geraldine, commencing at the junction of the roads at the north-western boundary of Rural Section 28994, Orari Survey District, and proceeding in a south-easterly direction along the north-eastern side of the road forming the south-western boundaries of Rural Sections 28994 and 31556 to the south-western corner of Rural Section 28994 aforesaid; thence in a southerly direction, intersecting Rural Sections 28994, 31556, 32699, and 25775, to the road forming the south-eastern boundary of the last-mentioned section; thence across that road, and proceeding in a generally southerly direction, intersecting Rural Sections 32549, 20229, 20345, 35930, and 32360, to the road forming the southern boundary of the last-named section; thence across that road, and intersecting Rural Section 26480, Crown land, and Rural Sections 27570, 23491, and 21697, to the road forming the southern boundary of the last-named section; thence across that road, and intersecting Rural Sections 15410, 19424, and 21401, to the road forming the south-eastern boundary of the last-named section; thence across that road, and intersecting Rural Sections 22153 and 21000, to the road forming the eastern boundary of the last-named section; thence across that road, and intersecting Rural Sections 21226, 22445, 19563, 19360, 21357, and Reserve 2033, to the road forming the western boundary of the said Reserve 2033; thence across
