HAWERA COUNTY COUNCIL.
NOTICE is hereby given that the poll of ratepayers within the special area defined in the Eltham Riding, taken on the 8th instant, upon the proposal to borrow £1,800 for the purpose of forming the Whareroa, Makiño, Morea, Tiromoana, and Rotokari Roads, resulted as follows:—
Number of voters on roll, 28; number of votes exercisable, 32; votes exercised, 28; number of voters for proposal, 24; against proposal, nil.
I therefore declare the proposal to be carried.

SPECIAL ORDER made by the Te Horo Road Board, on the 5th September, 1890, and confirmed the 3rd October, 1890:—
That a special and annually-recurring rate for twenty-six years of eleven thirty-seconds of a penny in the pound on the value of all rateable properties within the Te Horo Road District, with the exception of the Crown and Native lands within the meaning of “The Crown and Native Lands Rating Act, 1882,” be now struck, for the purpose of paying interest and other annual charges on a loan of £2,300, for the purpose of making the district roads as per Schedule attached, and shall be payable at the office of the Board, in one instalment, on the 6th October annually.
