All that area, 25 links in width, situated in Hinds Survey District, County of Ashburton, commencing at Race Z, hereinbefore described, at or near Bell’s Road, in Sections 8371 to 8390, and proceeding in a south-easterly direction, intersecting the said Sections 8371 to 8390, Sections 25200 and 8395, and a road to the northern boundary of Section 8396.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in me by the two hundred and sixty-seventh section of “The Counties Act, 1886,” and at the request of the Ashburton County Council, I, William Hillier, Earl of Onslow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare the lands described in the Schedule hereto to be water-races, as defined by the two hundred and sixty-sixth section of the said Act, to be known by the name of the Mount Somers, Alford, and Ashburton Forks Water-races; and, further, that the River Ashburton, in the County of Ashburton, with its tributaries and affluents, shall be streams which may be taken for supplying the said water-races.

All that area, 25 links in width, situated in the Alford Survey District, County of Ashburton, commencing on the creek at the south-eastern boundary-line of Section 18401, and proceeding in an easterly direction, intersecting Crown land, a road, Section 33507, Reserve 1822, Section 33998, a road, tramway reserve, a road, Sections 18280, 33999, 22004, and 18245, a road, Section 18244, a road, Sections 18246, 17771, and 18544, a road, Sections 16718, 18302, and 34056, a road, Sections 18545, 17769, and 18546, a road, Section 26795, a road, Sections 21511, 21510, and 26966, a road, and Sections 26966 (aforesaid), 32131, and 32133, to a point in the last-mentioned section.

All that area, 25 links in width, situated in Alford Survey District, County of Ashburton, commencing at Race L (1), hereinbefore described, near the south-eastern corner of Section 34054, and proceeding in southerly and south-easterly directions, intersecting Tramway Reserve and Sections 17776, 17773, 19506, 19632, 19633, and 24472, to the road forming the south-eastern boundary of the said Section 24472.
