I, the undersigned, hereby make application to register the Jacob Quartz-mining Company as a Limited Company, under the provisions of "The Mining Companies Act, 1886."

  1. The name of the company is to be the Jacob Quartz-mining Company (Limited).

  2. The place of intended operations is at Nenthorn, in the Provincial District of Otago.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership lately subsisting between us, the undersigned Henry Hodgkinson, Thomas Hodgkinson, and Sampson Hodgkinson, carrying on business at Makarewa as Brickmakers and Pipe and Tile-makers, under the style or firm of "Hodgkinson Brothers," has this day been dissolved by mutual consent.

All debts due to or owing by the said late firm will be received and paid by the said Thomas Hodgkinson, who will continue the said business.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership hitherto subsisting between us, the undersigned Eldred Beck and George Stoddart Whitmore, as Sheep-farmers, General Merchants, and Millers, at Tuparoa, West Clive, and Hastings, under the firm of "Beck and Co.," was on the 15th day of January, 1890, dissolved by mutual consent.

The business at Clive will in future be carried on under the style of "Eldred Beck."

The business at Hastings, hitherto carried on under the style of "E. Beck and Co.," in which Mr. E. Beck has no further interest, will be continued with a view to liquidation under the management of Mr. A. C. Bennett, who has the sole charge of the business.

The sheep-farming business at Tuparoa will be carried on by the said G. S. Whitmore.
