Rural Lands in the Marlborough Land District open for Sale or Selection.

ONSLOW, Governor.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the third section of "The Land Act Amendment Act, 1887" (hereinafter termed "the said Act"), I, William Hillier, Earl of Onslow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, having received the report of the Surveyor-General in this behalf, as in the said section is provided, do hereby declare that the rural lands enumerated in the Schedule hereto shall be open for sale or selection, after the lapse of a period of not less than forty-five days from the date of the first public notification hereof, in the manner and upon the conditions mentioned in the said Act, and at the price per acre stated in the said Schedule.

SECOND-CLASS LAND.

Bounded towards the north by a proposed forest reserve; towards the east by Sections Nos. 155 and 1, Block I., and Goulter Bay; towards the south by Kenepuru Sound and by Section No. 107; and towards the west by O'Maher Run and Sections Nos. 129 and 2, Block II., to the commencing-point.

Description of Land: Moderately steep hills, soil varies from inferior on the ridges to fair in the gullies and along the coast, higher ridges covered with birch, lower slopes with light bush and scrub.

Reservation of Land removed and ordered to be sold.

ONSLOW, Governor.

IN exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in me by the second section of "The Waimate Public Reserve Sale Act, 1889," I, William Hillier, Earl of Onslow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby declare and direct that the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto shall cease to be reserved, and that the same shall be sold for cash under the provisions of "The Land Act, 1885," at such price as the Canterbury Land Board may appoint.

SCHEDULE.

CANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT.

ALL that parcel of land in the Canterbury Land District, being Reserve No. 391 (in red), containing by admeasurement 1 rood 39 perches, more or less, being Lots Nos. 134 and 135, Borough of Waimate, Block XIV., Waimate Survey District. Bounded towards the north-east by Lot No. 133, 250 links; towards the south-east by Paul Street, 190 links; towards the south-west by Victoria Terrace, 254 links; and towards the north-west by Lots Nos. 118 and 119, 200 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less; as the same is delineated on the map deposited in the District Survey Office, Christchurch.

to be Trustees, in the place of Edward Hunt, resigned, and David Murray, deceased, to provide for the maintenance and care of the Kurow Cemetery, in conjunction with the other persons appointed by warrant under the hand of His Excellency the Governor on the twenty-sixth day of November, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-six.
