SPECIAL ORDER made by the Waitemata County Council, at a special meeting held on the 2nd May, 1890, and confirmed at a subsequent meeting held on the 6th June, 1890:—
That on and after the 1st November next the county shall be divided into nine ridings, with one member for each, as follows:—

Wainui Riding, comprising the Wainui Road District, the Whangaparoa Road District, and the Pukeatua Road District, one member.

Takapuna Riding, comprising the Takapuna Outlying District, one member.

Northcote Riding, comprising the Northcote Outlying District, one member.

Birkenhead Riding, comprising the Birkenhead Outlying District, one member.

SPECIAL ORDER made by the Kiwitea Road Board, at a meeting held on Saturday, the 16th August, 1890:—
That a special rate of 3d. in the pound be hereby made over the whole of the rateable property in the Apiti Ward of the Kiwitea Road Board District, north of the Birmingham Special-settlement Block (Crown and Native lands excepted), for the purpose of paying interest on a loan of £5,000, borrowed under the Government Loans to Local Bodies Act, such rate to be annually recurring for twenty-six years, and payable at the Board’s office, Feilding, in one sum, on the 1st April in each year.
I hereby certify that the foregoing special order has been duly made by the Kiwitea Road Board, as required by the Road Boards Act.

Result of Poll for Proposed Loan, Patutahi Road District, County of Cook.

THE following notice, received from the Chairman of the Patutahi Road Board, is published in accordance with “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1886.”

At a poll of the ratepayers of the Hangaroa and Waerengakuri Special District, taken on the 23rd July, 1890, upon a proposal to raise a loan of £800 for the purpose of road-works within the special district, the following votes were recorded:—
For the proposal 16 voters, exercising 19 votes; against the proposal, nil. Total number on the roll 22 voters, exercising 25 votes.
As a majority of persons recorded a majority of votes in favour of the proposal, I declare it carried.

THE following notice, received from the Chairman of the Fitzherbert Road Board, is published in accordance with “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1886.”

RESULT of poll taken at Mr. George Tom’s, on the 6th August, 1890, upon a proposal to raise a loan of £500, under “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1886,” to construct a road to be called the Kohuterawa Road, Fitzherbert, from its junction with No. 4 Line at Section No. 284; thence running southward; including a branch from Section No. 312, going westward :—
Number of ratepayers on special roll 16, representing 16 votes; 12 ratepayers, representing 12 votes, voted in favour of, and 4 ratepayers, representing 4 votes, against, the proposal; and I therefore declare the same to be carried.

IMPORTED STOCK ACT OF 1871, AND THE IMPORTED STOCK ACT AMENDMENT ACT OF 1884.
It is hereby notified for general information that Nos. 3, 4, 9, 12, 14, 15, 21, 22, 23, 24, 27, 29, 30, 31, 35, 39, 40, 43, 48, 51, and 52, and also subsections (1), (5), and (7), of Regulation 59, and subsections (2) and (3) of 61 of the regulations of the 22nd May, 1888, issued under the above-named Acts, are hereby cancelled, together with the regulation of the 18th February last, issued under the said Acts; and that the following regulations under the above-named Acts have been made by His Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, and are now published for general information, in lieu of the regulations hereby cancelled, and shall be read and construed with the unrescinded regulations of the 22nd May, 1888.
