MCCLEAN to be Registrar of Brands for the Wellington Branding District, comprising the Wellington Subdivision of the Wellington Sheep District, as constituted under “The Sheep Act, 1878,” together with the County of Horowhenua and that part of the County of Oroua which lies to the south of the Manawatu River.

COOK COUNTY COUNCIL.
At a poll of the ratepayers within a special district, comprising Mangaheia No. 1a, 1c, 1d, 1e, 1f, Taumatarata, Rangikihua, Mangapapa, and Panikau Blocks, taken on the 6th August, 1890, upon a proposal by this Council to raise a loan of £860, in terms of the Government Loans to Local Bodies Acts, 1886, 1889, for the construction of the Whangara-Arakihiki Road, the following votes were recorded:—
For the proposal, 5 voters, exercising 11 votes.
As this is the whole number of voters on the roll of the special district, I declare the proposal carried.

Notice of Intention to incorporate the Denniston Hospital as a Separate Institution.

HIS Excellency the Governor in Council directs it to be notified, in terms of section 43 of “The Hospitals and Charitable Institutions Act, 1885,” that he has received a petition from not less than two hundred and fifty subscribers to the Denniston Hospital, praying that the hospital may be incorporated as a separate institution. Any petition counter to the foregoing should be delivered at the office of the Colonial Secretary within one month from the publication of this notice.

“THE Crown and Native Lands Rating Act, 1882,” and the Amendments thereof.
To each and every the owner or owners of Native land under the said Act described in the valuation-rolls supplied to the local bodies, the names of which are set forth in the Schedule hereunder, under the provisions of the above Acts and all other Acts affecting the same or relating thereto.
WHEREAS demand having been made to me, the under-signed Colonial Treasurer of the Colony of New Zealand, in accordance with the provisions of “The Crown and Native Lands Rating Act, 1882,” by or on behalf of the said local bodies, for payment of the rates appearing to be payable under or by virtue of the said rolls for the year ended the 31st March, 1890:
Notice is hereby given to you and each and every of you that rolls of Native lands are now deposited at the offices of the said several local bodies, which said rolls are in the Maori language, and show the rateable value of the Native lands therein mentioned or described.
And you and each and every of you, the owners of the said lands, are hereby required and directed to pay the said rates on or before the 3rd September, 1890, such payment to be made by you at the office of the local body in whose district the lands affected are respectively comprised, and as noted in the said Schedule.
