A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by the ninety-seventh section of “The Land Act, 1885,” it is enacted that the Governor, by Proclamation, may from time to time declare any Crown lands within any mining district, not held under license or lease at the date of such Proclamation, or over which the license or lease has been cancelled, to be open for sale or selection, in sections of such size and form, and on such date, as he may determine; and any land so proclaimed may hereafter be sold at a like price, and subject to the like terms and conditions, or as near thereto as may be, as Crown lands of the same class not within a mining district; and the Governor may from time to time alter, amend, or revoke any such Proclamation:
Now, therefore, I, William Hillier, Earl of Onslow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby declare that the land specified in the Schedule hereto shall be open for sale by public auction under the provisions of “The Land Act, 1885.”

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable William Hillier, Earl of Onslow, of Onslow in the County of Salop; Viscount Cranley, of Cranley in the County of Surrey; Baron Onslow, of Onslow in the County of Salop, and of West Clandon in the County of Surrey; Baron Cranley, of Imbercourt; Baronet; Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George; Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral of the same; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington, this thirteenth day of August, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and ninety.
