And whereas the said reserve is for one of the purposes comprised in Class I. of the Schedule to “The Public Reserves Act, 1881,” and, in the opinion of the Governor, it is expedient to change the purposes of such reserve to another of the purposes named in the said Class I., as hereinafter mentioned:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, and in exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by the fourth section of “The Public Reserves Act, 1881,” doth hereby order and direct that the purposes of the reserve mentioned in the first column of the said Schedule hereto shall be changed from that of a reserve for a site for a market-place, and doth hereby declare and define the purpose of the said reserve to be that specified in the second column of the said Schedule, the same being one of the purposes comprised in Class I. of the Schedule to the said Act.

Powers delegated to the Glentunnel Domain Board under “The Public Domains Act, 1881.”

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-fourth day of June, 1890.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
IN exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in him by “The Public Domains Act, 1881,” His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council thereof, doth hereby revoke a certain Order in Council dated the fourth day of February, one thousand eight hundred and eighty, making delegation of certain powers in manner as therein appears; and doth, with the like advice and consent, by this present order, delegate, but only with respect to the parcel of land described in the Schedule hereto, all the powers conferred by the Act aforesaid, except the powers under or conferred by sections five and twelve thereof, to the under-mentioned persons, who shall be known as the Glentunnel Public Domain Board, namely,—

(herein referred to as “the Board”), subject to the stipulations hereinafter contained, that is to say,—

The Board shall meet for the transaction of business on the first Monday in each month, at eight o’clock p.m., at the South Malvern Road Board office, or at such other time or place as may from time to time be fixed by the Board. The first meeting shall be held on Monday, the seventh day of July, one thousand eight hundred and ninety.

Special meetings may be convened by the Chairman or by any two members of the Board, provided that two days’ notice of such meeting be given to each member, specifying the business to be transacted at such special meeting, and no other business than that so specified shall be transacted at such meeting.

Any three of the said Board shall form a quorum. Any meeting may be adjourned from time to time.

The members of the Board shall, at their first meeting, and thereafter at an annual meeting to be held on the first Monday in January in every succeeding year thereafter, elect one of themselves to be Chairman, who may join in the discussion, and shall have an original as well as a casting vote. The Chairman shall hold office until the election of his successor.

If at any meeting the Chairman is not present at the time appointed for holding the same, the members present shall choose some one of their number to be Chairman of such meeting.

If, by resignation, death, or incapacity, or otherwise, the office of Chairman shall be or become vacant, the members may at any monthly or special meeting appoint a Chairman.

All questions shall be determined by the majority of votes of the members of the Board present at a meeting.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Hororata Survey District, Land District of Canterbury, containing 100 acres, more or less. Bounded northward by a road-line, 4825 links; eastward by Section No. 1288 (in red), 1700 links; southward by the River Wakaepa; and north-westward by a road-line, 1500 links: and numbered 2407 (in red) on the official map in the District Survey Office, Canterbury.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this thirteenth day of May, 1890.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken for a public work authorised to be constructed by the Government, to wit, the construction of a road:
And whereas the said land is held or occupied by Native owners:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by “The Public Works Act, 1882,” and the amendments thereof, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency William Hillier, Earl of Onslow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby order that the Government work known as a road shall and may be constructed on or through the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
A ROAD, 100 links wide or thereabouts, commencing at the north-eastern boundary-line of the Owhatia Block No. 154 (in red), Maungaru Survey District, Provincial District of Auckland, and proceeding in southerly and westerly directions through the said block to the south-western boundary-line.

Changing the Purpose of a Reserve in Hawke’s Bay.
ONSLOW, Governor.
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto was heretofore duly reserved for a travelling-stock reserve, and is a reserve in Class I. of “The Public Reserves Act, 1881,” and such land has not been vested in trust in any society, body corporate, or trustees: And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor, it is expedient that the purpose of such reserve shall be appropriated to a recreation-ground:
Now, therefore, I, William Hillier, Earl of Onslow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the second section of “The Public Reserves Act Amendment Act, 1889,” do, by this notification, hereby declare that the said reserve shall, from and after the day of the date of the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, be appropriated for the purposes of a recreation-ground under Class III. of “The Public Reserves Act, 1881.”
SCHEDULE.
ALL that parcel of land in the Land District of Hawke’s Bay, containing by admeasurement 7 acres 2 roods, being Section No. 33, Village of Matamau, Block X., Norsewood Survey District.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this twenty-first day of June, one thousand eight hundred and ninety.
