the south-east generally by the eastern boundary-lines of Sections Nos. 72, 71, 64, 61, and 63 of the said Maraetai Parish; thence by the south-western boundary-line of the last-mentioned section, by the road which forms the south-eastern boundary of Section No. 57, and by the south-eastern boundary-line of Section No. 55 of the said Maraetai Parish; thence by the north-eastern and south-eastern boundary-lines of Section No. 33, the south-eastern boundary-lines of Sections Nos. 132 and 131, Pakuranga Parish, and the south-eastern and south-western boundary-lines of Section No. 178; thence by Section No. 64, Papakura Parish, and by Sections Nos. 96 and 95, Manurewa Parish; thence again towards the south-west by the road which forms the south-western boundaries of Sections Nos. 94, 93, 92, 146, 147, 148, 149, 150, 151, 152, 27A, 33, 32, and 30, all of the said Manurewa Parish; again towards the south-east by the road which forms the south-eastern boundary of Section No. 40 of the last-named parish to the southernmost corner of that section; thence again towards the north-east by the Great South Road to the road which forms the north-western boundaries of Allotments Nos. 2 and 1 of Section No. 7 of the Town of Papakura, and the road which forms the north-western boundaries of Sections Nos. 18, 17, 16, 15, and 14 of Section No. 6 of the Town of Papakura; thence again towards the south-east by the latter road to the Pahurehure River; thence towards the south by the said Pahurehure River; thence again towards the south-west and north-west by Manukau Harbour to the south-eastern corner of Allotment No. 2 of Section No. 13 of the Suburbs of Auckland; thence towards the west by the Eden Electoral District, hereinbefore described; and thence towards the north and again towards the west by the Parnell Electoral District, hereinbefore described, to the Hauraki Gulf: including the Islands of Rangitoto, Motutapu, Waiheke, Ponui, Taranaroa, Brown’s, Chamberlin’s, Rakino, Bean Rock, and adjacent islands; and the islands in Manukau Harbour to the north of the Pahurehure River.

FRANKLIN.

This district is bounded towards the north-west generally by Manukau Harbour and by the Manukau Electoral District, hereinbefore described; towards the east by the Frith of Thames; towards the south-east generally by the Pukorokoro Creek to Section No. 82 (reserve), Block VI., Wharekawa Survey District; thence by the said Section No. 82 to the high road and telegraph-line from Pukorokoro to Mercer; thence by the said high road and telegraph-line to the Mangatangi River; thence by the said Mangatangi River and the Maramarua River to the confluence of the latter with the Waikato River; thence by the latter river to its mouth; and thence towards the south-west by the ocean: including the islands in the Waikato River between the mouth of the Maramarua River and Waikato Heads, and including also the islands in the Pahurehure River.

THAMES.

This district is bounded towards the north and north-east by the ocean; towards the south-west by a right line drawn in a north-westerly direction from the north head of Tairua Harbour in the direction of the source of the Waikawau River, as far as the Waiwawa River; thence towards the south-east generally by the said Waiwawa River and its tributary the Taitoko Stream to the source of the latter; thence by the Waiwhakaurunga and Mangarehu Blocks (timber leases of 14,186 acres and 1,825 acres) respectively to the Mangakirikiri No. 1 Block (No. 3387A); thence by that block to its southernmost corner; thence by the summit of the range leading to the northern boundary-line of Section No. 2, Block V., Thames Survey District; thence by the said Section No. 2, the Karaka South No. 1 Block (No. 2597), and Karaka Creek to a point in line with the north-eastern side of Augustus Street, in the Town of Shortland; thence again towards the north-east by a right line to and along the north-eastern side of the said Augustus Street to Hape Creek; thence towards the south by the said Hape Creek to a point in the middle of Rolleston Street; thence again towards the north-east by a line being the production of a line drawn along the middle of the said Rolleston Street to the middle of Grey Street, in the said Town of Shortland; thence again towards the south-east by a line along the middle of the said Grey Street to Hape Creek, and thence across that creek; and towards the east by the said Hape Creek to its confluence with the Kauaeranga River; thence again towards the south by a right line due west 80 chains; thence again towards the south-west by a right line to a point 11681⅔ links distant from Trig. Station F, Thames Survey District, on a bearing of 282° 36′ 31″; thence again towards the north by a line due east to Rocky Point; and thence towards the west generally by the Frith of Thames: including Great Mercury, Cuvier, and adjacent islands.

TE AROHA.

This district is bounded towards the north-east by the ocean; towards the east by a right line from the southern-

most point of Matakana Island to the northernmost point of the Town of Tauranga; thence by the said Town of Tauranga and the Kopurererua River to a point in line with the south-western side of Hospital Street, in the said Town of Tauranga; thence by a right line to and along the south-western side of the said Hospital Street to the waters of Tauranga Harbour; thence by the waters of the said Tauranga Harbour to the Waimapu River; thence by that river to the road which forms the southern boundary of Section No. 37, Te Papa Parish; towards the south by the said road to the Tauranga-Rotorua Road; thence again towards the east by the said Tauranga-Rotorua Road to the south-eastern corner of the Taumata No. 2 Block; thence towards the south-east by the Taumata No. 3B West Block to Puwhenua Trig. Station; thence by a right line to Uraura Trig. Station; thence towards the south-west by a right line to Maungatautari Trig. Station; thence by a right line running in the direction of Opua-hau as far as the right bank of the Waikato River; thence by the said Waikato River to Section No. 161, Hautapu Parish; thence towards the west by the said Section No. 161, the crossing of a road, and by Sections Nos. 1 and 18 of the said Hautapu Parish to Victoria Road; thence by the said Victoria Road to Section No. 157, Tamahere Parish; thence towards the north-west by the said Section No. 157, the crossing of a road, by Sections Nos. 168 and 221, the crossing of a road, Sections Nos. 220 and 213, all of the said Parish of Tamahere, the crossing of a road, and by Section No. 212 to its south-eastern corner; thence by a right line to Pukemoremore Trig. Station; thence again towards the south-west by the confiscation boundary-line to Pukorokoro Creek; thence again towards the north-west by the Frith of Thames, and the Thames Electoral District, hereinbefore described; and towards the north by the said Thames Electoral District to the north head of the Tairua Harbour: including Slipper and Shoe Islands.

WAIKATO.

This district is bounded towards the north by the Franklin Electoral District, hereinbefore described; towards the north-east by Te Aroha Electoral District, hereinbefore described, to Uraura Trig. Station; thence towards the south-east by a right line to the mouth of the Waihora Stream in Lake Taupo; thence by the said Lake Taupo to the mouth of the Waihi Stream; thence by a right line to the summit of Tongariro Mountain; thence towards the south-west by a right line to the south-easternmost corner of the Kirikau Block, and thence by that block to the Wanganui River; thence towards the north-west generally by the said Wanganui River to the confluence of the Ongaruhe River with the said Wanganui River, and thence by the said Ongaruhe River to its intersection by the boundary-line between the Provincial Districts of Taranaki and Auckland, at a point about 10½ miles south of the source of the Mokau River; thence by the said boundary-line to the source of the said Mokau River; thence towards the south generally by the said Mokau River to the parallel of 38° 30′ south latitude; thence by the said parallel of 38° 30′ to the ocean; and towards the west by the ocean.

EAST COAST.

This district is bounded towards the north generally by the ocean; towards the east and south-east by the ocean and Poverty Bay to the right bank of the Waipaoa River; thence towards the south-west by the right bank of the said Waipaoa River to Te Arai River; thence again towards the south-east generally by Te Arai River to its confluence with the Waimata River; thence by the last-named river and the north-western boundary-line of the Waimata Native Reserve (4,186 acres) to Trig. Station No. 136 (Parikanapa), in Block IX., Patutahi Survey District; thence again towards the south-west by Sections Nos. 2 and 3 of the said Block IX., and Section No. 3, Block XII., Hangaroa Survey District, to the Hangaroa River; thence by the said Hangaroa River to its source nearest to Maungatapere Trig. Station; thence by a right line to the said Maungatapere Trig. Station; thence again towards the south-east by a right line to Maungapohatu; thence again towards the north-east by a right line to Trig. Station No. 93 (Matakapia); thence again towards the south-east by a right line to the most northerly point of Waikaremoana; thence by a right line in the direction of the junction of the Rangitaiki River and the main road from Napier to Taupo, till it meets a right line joining the summits of Tatarakino (Trig. Station No. 69) and Tawhiwhau (Trig. Station No. 76A) Mountains; thence towards the north-west by a right line to the summit of the said Tawhiwhau Mountain; thence again towards the south-west by a right line to Paeroa Trig. Station (No. 31); thence by a right line to Uraura Trig. Station; and thence again towards the north-west by Te Aroha Electoral District, hereinbefore described: including Motiti, Motuhora, and Mayor Islands.
